In the upper region, he established Ganden Tösam Dargyeling Monastery. In Nyuk of Tsang, he established Ganden Chökhorling Monastery. Among these monasteries, there were eight philosophical colleges for the study of logic, where one could pass the four levels of Kachen through debate, and Ganden Sangngakling Monastery in Yerba Draksep (place name), which primarily focused on the practice of inner secret mantras. He also established Ganden Phelgyeling Monastery in Ngari Kyungdzong, Sangngak Jangchubling Monastery in Chushur, Dudul Zilnonling Monastery on Phungpo Riwoche Mountain, and Ganden Rabgyeling Monastery in Tobgyal, totaling thirteen new monasteries. Thereafter, he restored old monasteries and established new ones, exceeding thirty in total, so that Gelug monasteries spread from upper Ngari to lower Dartsedo (Kangding). He also endeavored to promote the development of other traditions such as Sakya and Nyingma. In short, in this snowy land of Tibet, he governed for a long time with the benefit and happiness of a prosperous new era of joy and well-being. Finally, at the age of sixty-six, in the Year of the Dog, he relinquished his physical form and abided in the ultimate realm of Dharma. Subsequently, the administration of both secular and religious affairs, the construction of inner and outer supports, etc., were presided over by Desi Sangye Gyatso. In the great Shaden Lhakhang temple, the golden reliquary containing the complete remains of his body within a vase that is the ornament of Jambudvipa, along with limitless representations of body, speech, and mind, and Desi himself also tirelessly engaged in study, contemplation, and meditation, possessing immeasurable treatises.
