After the passing away (of the Buddha), in the western Maru region, there arose a king named Shri Harsha, who was powerful. That king, desiring to destroy the religions of the Klā-klos, destroyed the great monasteries of the Klā-klos, leaving only a wooden house. He gathered all the teachers, and provided them with all kinds of necessities for many months. He also collected all the scriptures concerning their doctrines. Burning all of them in fire, about twelve thousand followers of the Klā-klo doctrines were burned. It is said that only one weaver who knew their doctrines survived, and the later Klā-klos are said to be his descendants. At that time, the beings who worked for the benefit of others were: in the eastern part of India, the teacher Lodrö Tenpa (Intelligence Stable), and in the western part, the later years of Sangye Yang (Buddha Serf), the disciple of Asanga, and the time when Yönten Ö (Virtue Light) propagated the Dharma.
