Meditating on emptiness without compassion pervading everything. Meditating on compassion is emptiness itself. Even seeking only quiescence in emptiness should be meditated upon. The emptiness of this vehicle is great compassion. The nature of this great compassion is emptiness. Therefore, know that the meaning of abiding is compassion. Even though you have endless affairs to handle, Take this great entreaty of hundreds of earnest requests As the final heart-talk of this life. Now I will not stay, I will go to Tibet. Even the rosary-like mind is like rubble and cliffs. The actions of this life are impermanent, flickering like lightning. The gathering of body and mind is like guests in a guesthouse. Therefore, clinging to staying here is creating conditioned phenomena. The end of gathering is separation, this is the law of conditioned things. If you hold the instructions in your heart, you are a true son. If you listen to the words of advice, you will be auspicious forever. Soon I will go to the feet of Maitreya (the Loving One), In order to fully accomplish the words and meanings of the Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom), I will go to Tushita (Joyful Land). May you also, after this life, Draw near to him and aspire to converse with him. May all the Buddhas of the ten directions and their retinues, Consider us with compassion. May we, in all lifetimes of the three times, Use our body, speech, and mind for virtuous actions. Until we have perfected the three kayas (bodies) and activities, Wherever we take birth, May we practice the ten paramitas (perfections) with the three doors (body, speech, and mind), Please the guru, and spread his activities. This is the common advice given by the Protector of Beings (referring to Je Tsongkhapa) to the qualified Supreme Jewel when he was about to go to Tibet. The lineage of this is: from Jowo (Atisha) to Khenpo Maton, as before. Then it was transmitted to Jodan Lungshöpa, then to the spiritual friend Sherab Zangpo, then to Buddharatna, then to Kirtishila, then to Chöje Gyalwa Zangpo, then to Chöje Sönam Rinchen, and finally to Chöje Zhönnu Gyalchok. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
