I, Tenzin, have a low position, the heads of demons and oath-breakers are high. The happiness of sentient beings is diminished from the root. The Dharma protectors of the pure lineage have vanished into the sky. Nine kinds of unwanted things gather like clouds. There are many obstacles to practicing the sacred Dharma. When such a bad time arises, if you do not protect the suffering teachings and beings, have you forgotten your initial vows? Rahula, the eighth-level bodhisattva, the terrifying Dharma protector king, holding only the name of Ati, please consider us, your devoted disciples. Avert the fear of untimely death, avert evil death circumstances, eliminate past karma and sudden unfavorable factors, transfer disharmonious disputes into the sky, shoot the vajra kila arrow at obstacles, eliminate the decline of external seasons, pacify internal physical illnesses and demonic influences, destroy the conceptual thoughts of the secret five poisons, and may all wishes be fulfilled according to the Dharma. Lord of the Dharma-protecting King Kila, the supreme one who subdues enemies, the power of the thigle, becoming the master of half of heaven and earth, circling the three thousand worlds in an instant, the essence is the secret lord Vajrapani, the form is the leader of the arrogant army, the war god of all hailstorms, protecting all the teachings of Bon and Buddhism, the one who holds the vajra vow, especially protecting the Nyingtik teachings and terma, three hundred and sixty attendants, etc., emanations filling heaven, earth, and space, today I invoke your power, please look upon us, your devoted disciples, please avert untimely death, raise the happiness of teachings and beings to the sky, grant immortal life and inexhaustible wealth, and fulfill all wishes as desired. Eliminate the decline of external seasons, pacify internal physical illnesses and demonic influences, destroy the conceptual thoughts of the secret five poisons, and may all wishes be fulfilled according to the Dharma. Those who protect the lineage of the Nyingtik wrathful mantras, now in this degenerate age, please look upon us, your devoted disciples, with your immeasurable compassion and power, may the fruit of our aspirations not be in vain, liberate us from the dangerous straits of obstructing demons, pacify the heat of oath-breakers and demons, please avert untimely death, increase the glory and realization corresponding to the Dharma, jointly bless longevity and practice, when impermanence manifests, without decisive instructions, may we have awareness, recognize the nature of pure awareness, open the channel of Katishala, transfer to the secret path of Vajrasattva, if

纵然迷失于中阴界，祈愿恐惧与错觉得以平息。断绝六道众生的生门，引导至大乐清净的刹土。愿能被救拔为佛子，获得如此难得之珍宝。在暇满人身变得有意义之前，愿能战胜不顺的死亡。凭借圆满无缺的权势与财富，具备利益教法与众生之大功德。愿能圆满二资粮，清净二障。愿证得常恒不变之殊胜法王金刚身。如是，于自身三十岁时，自他显现五浊恶世衰败之际，在月之列宿，护法星宿运行之时，自诩为持明的僧人功德海（Yönten Gyatso）祈请，愿三根本之加持得以成就。善妙增上！于金刚护法众，事业明晰，成就二利之源泉。

Even if wandering in the Bardo, may fear and illusion be pacified. Cut off the birth gate of the six realms of beings, and lead them to the pure land of Great Bliss. May I be rescued as a Buddha's son, and obtain such a rare and precious gem. Before this leisure and endowment become meaningful, may I overcome unfavorable death. By means of complete and flawless power and wealth, may I possess great merits that benefit the teachings and beings. May I perfect the two accumulations and purify the two obscurations. May I attain the vajra body of the Dharma King, which is eternal and supreme. Thus, at the age of thirty, when the decline of the degenerate age is manifest for oneself and others, at the time when the lunar constellations and Dharma-protecting stars are in motion, Yönten Gyatso, who prides himself as a vidyadhara monk, prays, may the blessings of the three roots be accomplished. May goodness and excellence increase! May the activity of the vajra Dharma protectors be clear, a source of accomplishing the two benefits.
