In order to subdue, on the banks of the Serden Drikung River in the city called Golden Below, he tended sheep and goats in an ordinary manner, and at one time when he was displaying various miraculous powers, he knew that an earthquake disaster would occur in the city, so he temporarily bound the mountain behind with a sling. After doing so, he said, "Everyone run away," but most people thought it was a lie and did not run away, and about five hundred villages sank underground, the remains of which are now this red land of the Golden Below Mountain ruins. An old woman, having seen a little of his great qualities from before, believed it to be true and escaped, and the descendants who survived are said to be the current city of Golden Below. At that time, when the demon king Langdarma destroyed the Buddhist teachings, leaving nothing but the name, he taught the Abhidharmakosa at the Langtang Dolma Temple, gathering many wise and virtuous people such as Yechenpo Sherab Drak, who spread the Abhidharmakosa to the three regions of U-Tsang and Kham, laying the foundation for the lower Abhidharma teachings and establishing the root of the Later Propagation of the Teachings. He taught and propagated the Guhyasamaja Yeshe Zhabs tradition, and thus the Guhyasamaja Kham tradition became famous. In short, this great being, only because of the force of circumstances, had greater or lesser activities for the benefit of beings, but from the point of view of a scholar, he could be compared to Master Vasubandhu; from the point of view of an accomplished one, he was no different from Master Krishnacharya and others. When Pachen Danaśīla was near death, he said that he had to die in the impure land of Tibet, and showed a frustrated expression. Others said that many Indian Pachens had died in Tibet before, so it was not a problem. When asked if Jowoje Atiśa had also died in Tibet, he said, "The discipline of Acharya Bhikshu is good, but he does not have even one percent of my qualities." When asked if Phadampa had also passed away, he said, "The yogi has many instructions, but he does not have even one tenth of my qualities." When asked if Smṛtijñāna had also passed away, he folded his hands and said, "Then I do not have even one percent of his qualities, so it is permissible to pass away." Like this, there is a story of him feeling relieved. Like this, when the direct disciples of that great accomplished one were nearing completion, he went to Golden Below and placed a black stone about the size of a sheep's back on a sling, and said, "Throw it to a place where my activities will arise." Then he threw it.

Having arrived at this place, it became known as "Dranthang" from then on. At that time, rainbow lights and showers of flowers, the sound of celestial drums, pleasant fragrances, and many other wondrous signs appeared, demonstrating the manner of passing into nirvana. According to the will, when the entire body was placed in this sacred site, on the fifteenth day of the first summer month, a rainbow-like silk appeared on the Dri River. The custom of "Dranthang Lhadar" (Dranthang Divine Silk) originates from this. At night, many gods and demons surround the place and offer butter lamps, and from that time until now, it has become a visible phenomenon. When the old residence showed signs of slight dilapidation, during the time when the second emanation of Songtsen Gampo, the lord of the snowy land, King of Dharma Sakyong Dega Tenpa Tsering, who was prophesied in the Root Tantra of Manjushri, established eighteen monasteries in Upper and Lower Dan, he also built this main temple. Many great beings of all traditions, headed by the two supreme kings holding blue and red crests, regarded this as the standard and trod upon it with their feet. In particular, when the activities of the compassionate protector Tai Situ Chokyi Jungne were raised to the pinnacle of power like a white umbrella, here too, relying on the land and estates offered by devout patrons, the outer main temple was renovated, and the inner Karma Kagyu sangha flourished, making the three—growth, prosperity, and virtue—unparalleled. The supreme incarnate, Pema Nyinje Wangpo, who was born as a conscious rebirth of him (Situ Chokyi Jungne), also performed services such as gilding the Kumbum Rinpoche (Stupa), continuing the previous activities and performing great deeds that benefited the teachings. In short, all people, high and low, from U-Tsang and Kham, have made this place a site of pilgrimage and circumambulation, making this sacred place, where connection is meaningful. In the center of the pure chamber of this sacred site, as the main object of veneration, is the precious stupa of the scholar-adept Smriti Jñana, which has completely overcome the maras and manifests as a stupa of perfect enlightenment. The vase-body image is Jowo Khasarpani (Tibetan: བུམ་སྐུ་ཇོ་བོ་ཁ་སརྤ་ི, Sanskrit Devanagari: खसर्पि, Sanskrit Romanization: khasarpi, Literal Chinese meaning: Space-essence). The self-created image of the great scholar Gyaton Chenpo, made by his own hands, is highly blessed. The images of the two kings holding blue and red crests. The statue of the Second Buddha, Padmakara. The statue of Buddha Amitabha.
