A Brief Explanation of the Hero's Crown. A Brief Explanation of the Hero's Crown. A brief explanation of the Hero's Crown is prepared. On this occasion today, for the ears of all faithful, high and low, gathered here, I will briefly relate the history associated with the crown, the Great Lotus Seeing Liberation, of the glorious Lord Hero, the King of all Vidyadharas. In general, the great qualities of the body of the Kagyu Gyalwa fathers and sons, and all their activities and deeds, are already widely known in the snowy land of Tibet, so there is no need for special mention. However, in the present context, due to the reasons of association, this Lord, although he had already attained the state of perfect enlightenment from the beginning for his own sake, yet due to the power of great vows and aspirations, in order to spread the Buddha's teachings, and in order to lead limitless sentient beings to liberation, he consciously manifested in the illusory play of existence. In the sacred land of India, he appeared as the great scholar Sher Jungpa, the guardian of the southern gate; in the snowy land of Tibet, he appeared as the Lion of Speech, Rongton Sheja Kunzig; as the Dharma King Rinchen Lingpa, one of the five supreme Lingpas; and as the undisputed Siddha Pawo Chöwang Lhündrub, the tutor of the Seventh Dalai Lama, and so on. He manifested numerous incarnations of Khas and Siddhas, and in both India and Tibet, he greatly benefited the Dharma and beings through limitless miraculous deeds. Gyalwa Rinpoche Chödrag Gyatso enthroned the reincarnation of Pawo Chöwang Lhündrub, Pel Tsuglag Trengwa, on the seat of Marpa Lotsawa. These are all incarnations of learned and accomplished beings, appearing in an unbroken lineage. And the Ninth, the one who is currently residing, initially, when consciously taking rebirth, dispelled the doubts of all, high and low, with the great miracle of remembering past lives, and placed them in irreversible faith. In the middle, the Gyalwa fathers and sons of Kagyu and Drukpa poured out the teachings of maturation and liberation of Sutra and Tantra like a full vase, and were empowered as heart sons and regents. Finally, through the conduct of nine holy beings, he carries on the activities of the former holy beings, and

The meaningful good deeds, fulfilling the wishes of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, are established by direct perception, and there is no need to say more. Moreover, it is not just one aspect, but in accordance with the order of the superior, intermediate, and inferior faculties of the beings to be tamed, the activity of taming whatever should be tamed, in the form of skillful means, endlessly making the connection of good and evil meaningful. Among them, the Lotus Liberation-through-Seeing Crown, which merely by seeing and meeting plants the seed of liberation in the continuum. In general, from the very beginning, it was named with the crown of its own nature family because the Buddhas were pleased with the great empowerment of Vajra Wisdom. In particular, in the great palace of Yab Padma Od, the Second Buddha Padmasambhava Thotreng Tsal was granted the status of King's Representative in order to tame the difficult-to-tame beings of the snowy land of Tibet, as a symbol of the greatness of obtaining this status, this lotus hat has been worn by successive superiors. In particular, the Protector of the Snowy Land, Avalokiteśvara himself, manifested as holding the Black Hat Crown, and from Gyalwang Karmapa onwards, the connection of the measure of the master and disciples was perfected, as a symbol of the unity of the intention of space and wisdom, the Liberation-through-Seeing Crown was bound, therefore the hats of the Kagyu lineage masters and disciples are only different in color and shape, but there is no difference in meaning. The way in which such Liberation-through-Seeing is established by scripture and valid cognition is also as stated in the Sutra Pitaka: In some Buddha-fields there are differences in ornaments and musical instruments; in some Buddha-fields there are differences in desirable qualities; in some there are gestures of conduct and so on; in some there are the emission of light and electricity, etc. In the countless Buddha-fields of the ten directions, sentient beings are benefited by the various emanations of the deeds of the Buddhas, therefore it is also established that there are various ways of taming those to be tamed in this Buddha-field as well. Furthermore, in accordance with the instructions of the Six Liberations widely taught in the tantras, agamas, and upadeshas of the Early Translation Great Perfection, most of them also appear in the New Translation tantras, among which one of the distinctions of Liberation-through-Seeing is this precious crown. The reasons and benefits for this are described in detail in Terton Sangye Lingpa's Lama Gongdu and Pema Lingpa's Norbu Gyatso, etc.
