The history of the four pages of oral transmission, a special instruction of Jetsun Lhodrakpa, along with a collection of texts. The history of the four pages of oral transmission, a special instruction of Jetsun Lhodrakpa, along with a collection of texts. The history of the four pages of oral transmission, a special instruction of Jetsun Lhodrakpa, along with a collection of texts, is complete. Namo Guru. The history of the four pages of oral transmission, a special instruction of Jetsun Marpa Lhodrakpa. Generally, there are many gurus in India, but especially kind are Naropa and Maitripa. First, he listened to many tantric instructions and, after fully receiving empowerment, when he went to Tibet, a man from Gungtang named Topa Ga, who was endowed with diligence and perseverance, came to request instructions. He pleased the guru with service of body and speech. The guru also gave the essence of the unsurpassable secret mantra's completion stage, the instruction of Tummo Atung. Although he meditated with intense effort, he was unable to generate heat signs and qualities. Again, he requested the guru to open his crown, saying, "You have gone to places like India and relied on many good gurus such as Naropa and Maitripa. Is there not a profound instruction that does not require long practice, or even more than that, that one can become enlightened without practice? Please keep it in mind." Because the instruction to become enlightened through long practice or long and intense effort has already been changed from before. The guru thought in his heart and felt that he was right, so he went to India again to serve the gurus in gratitude and accordance, and made the same request as before. When returning to Tibet, Lord Naropa gave the two, the network of channels and winds, the wheel, and the transference of consciousness, Powa. Because these two are the ultimate of the mantra path. Such instructions are rare even in India, and you yourself know this, but you Tibetans are of small intellect and full of doubts, so it is not permissible to show them to everyone. It is necessary to examine the vessel of the individual well before giving them. Lord Maitripa gave the two instructions of Bardo Certainty and the concise words of Mahamudra. This

Because it is not a Dharma to be shown to everyone, it was said to entrust the Dharma with a seal to one destined person. Lama Marpa also considered this to be more excellent than the previous instructions, and the Lama also attached great importance to it. The letters of the instructions were made into paper rolls and hung around the neck, not shown to everyone. Later, Tsurton Wangnge of Dol region, through extensive service, strongly requested, saying: I am indeed a person who has become weary of samsara, please bestow upon me a concise yet meaningful instruction. Marpa thought: If I were to give such profound instructions to everyone, it would violate the Lama's seal. Originally, it was to be transmitted to my son Dharma Dode in a single lineage, but he has already passed away. Milarepa has not come to request either. Now, there is no point in taking the profound instructions to the grave. Jowo Tsurton is also very faithful and respectful, and he is also interested in the Dharma of mantra, and he will surely practice it. If I do not give instructions to such a person, it would be being stingy with the Dharma, and it would also be a fault of discouraging those with faith. So he handed over these four rolls of paper, saying: You also seem to be a destined person, so I am giving you this instruction from the bottom of my heart, cherish it, do not give it to just anyone, if a qualified person appears, give it after obtaining the seal. Tsur Wangnge gave the Dharma called "Phowa General Transference" to his brother, his brother gave it to Dza Phu of India, Dza Phu of India gave it to Todlung Agare, Agare gave it to Teacher Nyima Lungwa, Nyima Lungwa gave it to Deshek Rinpoche, all of whom manifested signs of accomplishment in the upper region, the lineage is not concealed. The other three rolls of paper were not transmitted. Later, a disciple of Lama Lhaseungpa heard that Tsurton Wangnge had the extraordinary instructions of four rolls of paper, so he offered a turquoise stone worth three hundred horses and strongly requested it. Tsurton Wangnge thought about it and gave him the four rolls of paper properly, and gave him a seal, saying to keep it secret until I die. It is said that the requester was a yogi who did not need much practice. When he and Dagpo Dotse were talking, he said that the four rolls of paper of Tsurton Wangnge were with me. Dagpo Dotse said: Oh, you and I were Dharma friends before, from now on I will regard you as my root Lama, please transmit it to me no matter what.
