Then he arrived in the Tibetan region and encountered some herdsmen. When asked where they came from and who they were, they pointed to the sky. (The king) thought they were gods, so everyone piled mud and stones on their necks, built a throne, and honored him as their leader. This was the earliest king, known as Je Nyatri Tsenpo Je Nyatri Tsenpo (རྗེ་གཉའ་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོ་) built Siwukalingka (སྤྲེའུ་མ་བུ་གླིང་མཁར་). His son was Mu Tri Tsenpo (མུ་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོ།), his son was Ding Tri Tsenpo (དིང་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོ།), his son was So Tri Tsenpo (སོ་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོ།), his son was Me Tri Tsenpo (མེ༷་ཁྲི༷་བཙ༷ན་པོ།), his son was Ding Tri Tsenpo (གདི༷ང་ཁྲི༷་བཙ༷ན་པོ༷།), and his son was Sib Tri Tsenpo (སྲིབ་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོ་). These are known as the Seven Heavenly Kings 'The tombs of the Seven Kings were built in the sky,' because the bodies of the gods have no remains, just like a rainbow disappearing into the sky. The son of Sib Tri Tsenpo (སྲིབ་ཁྲི་བཙན་པོའི་) was Tri Bum Tsenpo (ཁྲི་འབུམ་བཙན་པོ།), and his son was Pu De Gungyal (སྤུ་དེ་གོང་རྒྱལ་) or Jya Tri (བྱ་ཁྲི་). These two are known as the Two Tops of the Upper Region The son of Pu De Gungyal (སྤུ་དེ་གོང་རྒྱལ་གྱི་) was Ashulek (ཨ་ཤྭ་ལེགས།), his son was De Shulek (དེ་ཤྭ་ལེགས།), his son was Ti Shulek (ཐི༷་ཤྭ༷་ལེ༷གས།), his son was Gung Ru Lek (གོང་རུ་ལེགས།), his son was Drong Sher Lek (འབྲོ༷ང་ཞེ༷ར་ལེ༷གས།), and his son was I Shulek (ཨི་ཤྭ་ལེགས་). These are known as the Six Leks of the Middle Region The tombs were built between cliffs and meadows, like a rainbow blooming on the grass. The son of I Shulek (ཨི་ཤྭ་ལེགས་ཀྱི་) was Zanam Za De (ཟ་ནམ་ཟ་སྡེ།), his son was De Trul Namzhung Tsen (ལྡེ༷་འཕྲུ༷ལ་ནམ༷་གཞུ༷ང་བཙ༷ན།), his son was Se Nol Nam De (སེ་བསྣོལ་ནམ་སྡེ།), his son was Se Nol Sa De (སེ༷་བསྣོ༷ལ་ས༷་སྡེ༷།), his son was De Nol Nam (སྡེ༷་བསྣོ༷ལ་ན༷མ།), his son was De Nol Po (ལྡེ་བསྣོལ་པོ།), his son was De Gyalpo (སྡེ༷་རྒྱ༷ལ་པོ།), and his son was De Trin Tsen (སྡེ་སྤྲིན་བཙན་). These are known as the Eight Des of the Earth The tombs of the Eight Des were built in the rivers, like snow falling on a lake. The son of De Trin Tsen (སྡེ་སྤྲིན་བཙན་གྱི་) was Tri Tsen Nam (ཁྲི་བཙན་ནམ།), his son was Gri Dra Pung Tsen (གྲི༷་དགྲ༷་དཔུ༷ང་བཙ༷ན།), and his son was Tri Te Tok Tsen (ཁྲི་ཏེ་ཐོག་བཙན་). These three are known as the Three Tsens of the Lower Region The tombs of the Three Tsens were built on the white snowy peaks, like clouds gathering on the snowy mountains. The son of Tri Te Tok Tsen (ཁྲི་ཏེ་ཐོག་བཙན་གྱི་) was Lha Thothori Nyentsen (ལྷ་ཐོ་ཐོ་རི་སྙན་ཤལ་), who was an incarnation of the Holy Samantabhadra (ཀུན་ཏུ་བཟང་པོའི་). Above his palace, Yumbu Lakang (ཡུམ་བུ་བླ་མཁར་), from the sky descended the object of body—the image of Avalokiteśvara Chintamani (སྤྱ༷ན་ར༷ས་གཟི༷གས་ཀྱི་སྐུ༷་ཆ་ཙིནྡྷ་མ་ཎིའི་སྐུ་,藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,如意宝观音像), the object of speech—the Karandavyuha Sutra (མདོ་སྡེ་ཟ་མ་ཏོག་བཀོད་པ་,藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,宝箧经), and the Spang Kong Chagya Pa (སྤང་སྐོང་ཕྱག་རྒྱ་པ་རྣམས་,藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,百业经), the object of mind—a crystal stupa filled with relics. These were the auspicious beginnings of the flourishing of Buddhism in Tibet, descending with the rays of the sun, and thus the holy Dharma began. It is said that after five generations, people will understand its meaning. He was Songtsen Gampo The son of Lha Thothori Nyentsen (ལྷ་ཐོ་ཐོ་རིའི་སྙན་ཤལ་གྱི་) was Tri Nyen Zungtsen (ཁྲི་སྙན་གཟུང་བཙན།).
