Alas! Please do not look upon me, this red-faced one! However, if one indulges in one's own faults, it is difficult to receive the compassion of the Buddhas; for a long time, those of meager fortune are created by their own faults. You adorn with the light of loving-kindness, nurturing like a child, without any doubt. Therefore, may you cause the flower of compassion to bloom anew, fulfilling the wish to manifest what is desired. May compassion extinguish the flames of poverty, and may the river of wealth flow continuously; may all beings rejoice, and may I be revered, and may the nature of power increase; may the accumulation of faults of disease and demons be utterly destroyed, attaining the most supreme state of manifest exaltation. Above the heavenly realms, may you alone manifest joy, and may you thus take me under your care. Thus, whatever merit is obtained from my praise of the Lord of Merit and Wisdom, may that merit, complete and abundant, like a cloud of wish-fulfilling jewels, equal to the vastness of space, may I and all beings possess immeasurable wealth, like the essence of clouds in the ocean, may the supreme state of perfect enlightenment be swiftly accomplished! This praise to the Lord of Auspicious Gatherings, called "The Cloud of the Ocean of Poetic Combination," was composed by the fortunate Samyepa Tsultrim Lodro, who is skilled in poetry, metrics, and the science of nomenclature, etc. It is complete. Virtuous! From the Legacy of the Ancestors, the Collected Works of Longchen Rabjam, (24) The Praise to the Lord of Gatherings by Omniscient Drime Ozer.
