The meaning explanation of the preliminary seven mind training is as follows. I prostrate to the Guru, Yidam, and assembly of Dakinis, with reverence in the three doors. In order to enter the meaning of manifest heart essence, I will clearly explain the meaning of the seven mind trainings. For fortunate beginners, in order to gradually enter the meaning of manifest wisdom, from the precious copper letter which speaks of the seven aspects of mind training, the method of practicing has seven aspects: First, contemplate impermanence and train the mind. The external changes of the four seasons, , day and night, even moments do not stay, is also impermanent. The internal aggregate of the four elements changes like a collection of water bubbles, quickly decaying and without essence, is also impermanent. The secret is the death of parents, relatives, and friends is also impermanent. When will such a situation come to oneself? Even just today or tomorrow, there is no certainty of not dying. Will I die tonight or tomorrow morning? Think from the heart without distraction for even a moment. When seeing other beings, think that all of these have not transcended death. When will they die? Meditate like this. Therefore, all compounded things are of the nature of impermanence. Seeing examples of impermanence and becoming narrow-minded is the measure of accomplishment. Meditating like this has the necessity of turning the mind away from samsara. Second, contemplate immediate happiness and lasting happiness and train the mind. Non-virtuous actions create all kinds of suffering and lower realms, while virtuous actions create all kinds of happiness and higher realms. The nature of samsara, with its ups and downs, is like the drawing of water from a well, changing and not lasting. This is truly laughable. The supreme method of not entering samsara, other than liberation and enlightenment, cannot be trusted and is deceptive. This is truly amazing. Entering the path of liberation, immediate happiness is the heavenly realms, and good qualities will be obtained in the continuum, like the prince Bodhisattvas. Lasting happiness is the attainment of unsurpassed enlightenment, like the Buddhas. Therefore, think of accomplishing temporary and ultimate perfect happiness. Therefore, without entering the path of liberation, non-virtuous actions will lead to lower realms, and performing virtuous actions will lead to rebirth in higher realms, but eventually one will fall back into the lower realms.

For the sake of samsara, all actions become the cause of suffering. This thought arises from the heart and is the extent of habituation. Therefore, it is necessary to be disillusioned with the suffering of samsara and to generate strong renunciation in one's mind. Third, train the mind by contemplating various circumstances: When born in samsara, there is no one to trust or rely on. Even if you bestow kindness, you are repaid with harm. Even if you eat and drink, it becomes a cause of disease and death. Even if you accumulate possessions, you fulfill the desires of enemies and thieves. Hoping for benefit, you make friends with relatives, but they turn into enemies who bring harm. Even if you do not cause harm, you will be subjected to meaningless slander and accusations. No matter what you do, you cannot please others. There is no free time to enjoy. These are all very similar. If you deeply contemplate the thoughts and actions of sentient beings, as mentioned above, even if you bestow kindness, some will be pleased and some will not. No matter how you think, you cannot achieve complete benefit. All actions are the nature of suffering. There are so many causes of disease and death that it is impossible to actually obtain benefit from them. Therefore, there is no one to rely on other than the lama and the Three Jewels, who will not deceive us. If you have devotion and make offerings, then this is the source of happiness in this life and the next. You should completely turn your mind towards virtue, contemplating the various good and bad circumstances that have occurred in the past, are happening now, and will happen in the future, thereby generating renunciation and lowering your expectations. Therefore, you should generate compassion for the sentient beings of the six realms and think, "How wonderful it would be if I could make offerings to the Three Jewels and the lama!" This is the extent of practice. Therefore, it is necessary to have faith as a prerequisite. Fourth, train the mind by realizing that all actions are meaningless: My actions in this life, such as "caring for relatives, subduing enemies, cultivating diligently, engaging in profitable business," "greed for excessive profits, pursuit of fame, attachment and hatred, jealousy and resentment, offering advice out of concern for others, striving for greatness, desiring sweet words," and so on, as well as enjoying and associating with relatives and friends, building houses and homes, etc., no matter what you do, they will not go with you the day after you die, so they are meaningless. Everything you have done before yesterday exists only in your memory and cannot come back, like last night's dream. Today's appearance is like tonight's dream. The things you will do after tomorrow are also like
