The practice called "Dream Insertion" is present here. . A collection of precious yellow scrolls: . The practice called "Dream Insertion." Homage to Yeshe Tsogyal! Forms arising from the delusion of habit, The cause and condition of samsara is the appearance of dreams. The instruction for inserting into the wisdom womb, I will explain according to how it has befallen me. That is, the appearances of the daytime arise from the habits of delusion, And the various dreams of the nighttime arise because, After conceptual thoughts look outward at objects, The inner awareness, moved by the wind, follows, and thus appears as extreme delusion. Because accumulating the aspects of karma and habits causes wandering in samsara, Therefore, it should be concealed in the realm of great wisdom by the guru's instructions. . Also, take it easy for a few days, And practice all appearances as dreamlike illusions. At night, when sleeping, examine what appears most often in dreams. If one dreams only of what one did during the day, the habits are small and very easy to practice. If one dreams mostly of the past, it is a little difficult because the habits of familiarity from the past are strong. If one dreams of mixed-up things and mostly dreams of appearances without habits, it is very difficult to practice, Because the habits of the three times are very thick. Then go to a deserted mountain, And clarify the dream that appears most often, Into this present appearance. Body jumps and runs. Speech makes noise. Mind takes up various thoughts. Practicing the arising of impermanence moment by moment, and saying PHAṬ (藏文,梵文天城体,phaṭ,摧破), visualizing the guru on the crown of the head, One should act like the conduct of separating samsara and nirvana. Practicing like that for half a month and ten days, Whatever arises will be free from attachment and will be established. During those times, do not think about anything at night, but relax and sleep. Then completely abandon all the virtuous activities of counting births and deaths and the disturbances of conceptual thought, And without taking up the path of illusion and dreams, In a secluded and pure place, take any of the three postures of the body, Or remain in the vajra posture, blocking all speech and expression. Without thinking about any thoughts in the mind, Fix the eyes without moving on the surface of the pure sky, Slowly holding the breath outward, not inward.

Remaining in equal placement, the self-arising lamp of wisdom, the nature of which does not abide in any inner or outer place of knowing, arises from within. In that very state, however much one remains with that method, one abides in the original, primordial purity. The arising and dissolving thoughts dissolve into the ground, the non-conceptual wisdom, the dharma nature unmade by mind, the wisdom that abides within oneself, the meditation beyond effort, the nature of Kuntuzangpo, manifests at all times. Having practiced like that during the day, when going to sleep, lie down on the right side, without any thoughts of arising and dissolving in the mind, relax and lie down. At first, dreams are clear and lucid, and one dreams less than before. Then, less and less, until finally dissolving into the expanse, without dreaming, one will abide in the original state of dharma nature. This is called mixing day and night, liberating from samsara in the state of self-nature free from elaboration. At the time of death, the basis of liberation of primordial purity, one will awaken in a state like the sky. This is called concealing dreams in the essence of the appearance of primordial purity of dharma nature. Then, concealing in the state of spontaneous luminosity is the same as before up to the point of distinguishing between samsara and nirvana, but especially adjusting the way of looking and the way of seeing. During the day, by not being distracted from the state of manifest five lights, all thoughts of arising and dissolving dissolve into the expanse of luminosity. Although appearing as the realm of five lights, the non-conceptual, co-emergent, free from elaboration wisdom of the mind, the lamp of self-arising wisdom dawns from within, the meaning of emptiness and clarity inseparable, in the original state, however much one remains with that method, one abides in the expanse. At that time, one engages solely in the self-born, co-emergent wisdom. At night, when sleeping, with the wind-mind extremely slow, sleep in the lion posture as before, and in the heart, a lamp of five lights the size of a thumb radiates light, filling the entire inside of the body. Radiating outwards from that, the dwelling is filled with five lights. Radiating outwards from that, all places are filled, and finally, contemplate that the space pervaded by the sky is pervaded by five lights. That is also clear, shimmering, spontaneously beautiful, blazing with light, and in the state of thinking that it is flickering, falling asleep, at first dreams are clear and lucid, blissful, clear, adorned with non-conceptuality.
