EMBED Photoshop.

The ultimate liberation of Trekchö (khregs chod) introduction dwells in the vast expanse. EMBED Photoshop.Image.7 \\s Homage to the expanse of essence, all-pervading meaning! When the fortunate enter the path, there are two key instructions: Trekchö and Tögal (thod rgal). The first is: Just as all phenomena of appearance and existence are without limitation or bias, the meaning of the essence of primordial purity, which is unadulterated and free from effort and striving, is meaningless if the certainty of realization is not obtained in the continuum. Klongsal says: All the dharmas of the vehicle are perfected in essence, the essence is the meaning of all dharmas, without it words and so on become meaningless. Thus, it is very important to introduce the basis of Trekchö as it is. First, cutting off conceptual thought: This subtle essence of mind, which is empty and unestablished in anything, yet manifests in various forms, wanders in samsara because it does not know emptiness and clarity and clings to self-grasping as its own continuum, as Tagdrol (btags grol) says: The root of existence is self-grasping itself. So it is. Cutting off its root: For one individual, before all actions, there is nowhere else to go other than these three, body, speech, and mind. So, who is the one who wanders in samsara among these three, body, speech, and mind? Who desires to attain Buddhahood upwards? Who does all the bases of happiness and suffering? Do the three, body, speech, and mind, act separately, or do they act together as one? After examining, it will be determined that the root of the actor is the mind. Klongsal says: The one and only basis of all samsara and nirvana. So it is. Then, searching for the flaw of the mind: If the actor resides in the mind, then before the basis of the mind is divided into samsara and nirvana, who is the one who initially wanders in samsara? Who made it? How does it wander? After examining, it cannot be found anywhere. The Garland of Pearls (mu tig phreng ba) says: In the primordial purity of the beginning, there is no mention of delusion. Likewise, what is it that is not deluded? Therefore, delusion is primordially pure. So it is. Then, examining the three places of origin, dwelling, and going: Even though the flaw of the basis is not found, examine the root of clinging to samsara and nirvana in this way. From where do the outer container, the inner contents, the body, the inside and outside, the head and tail, and so on arise? From what does the root arise? Where does it dwell now? How does it rely? Finally, from where to where?

Dzo! Examining whether there is obstruction, it does not arise from anywhere, does not abide anywhere, nor does it go anywhere. One will understand the meaning of being rootless, severed, and without change. In "Bondage and Liberation" it is said: "Examining both internally and externally, primordial emptiness is liberation." Thus, even when examining the wisdom that examines and dissects, because self-nature is not established, not even a mote of dust can be found. No matter how one looks, it is not seen, so the emptiness of self-nature abides in a rootless state, therefore self-grasping is liberated in its own place. Thus, when self-grasping is liberated in its own place, the grasping of subject and object, the conceptual thoughts that are the root of existence, are liberated in their own place, like a tree whose roots have been cut, its branches and leaves naturally wither. The scripture says: "If one knows the basis of all to be utterly pure, then the meaning of the basis is manifested, liberated in its own place." Thereafter, recognizing conceptual thought as mind, it is the self-power of awareness, this thing that remembers without remembering is called mind. Coarse, subtle, and the subtle conceptual thoughts that are not explicitly stated, all gather in the way awareness manifests itself. However, its essence is awareness-emptiness, dissolving without a trace, self-arising and self-liberating, the essence does not depart from emptiness and clarity, like waves arising from the great ocean, or hail arising in the sky. In "Vast Expanse of Clarity" it is said: "The power of mind's memory, thought, and awareness, all that becomes manifest awareness, is not separate from awareness itself." Thereafter, recognizing mind as emptiness, thus, the mind that emanates, from the root, does not exist. Thus examining, one cannot find what this thing is that can be indicated. Although it appears as slightly luminous, slightly aware, there is no analogy to compare it to, it cannot be truly indicated, nor can it be indicated with words. For example, the Dharma-nature of Bodhicitta, which is similar to uncreated space, cannot be compared to anything. The scripture also says: "Looking back at the very one that moves, without abandoning, it is self-liberated, like hail." In "Without Letters" it is said: "In the view of self-born wisdom, there is no object of observation, the past that has passed does not exist, the future that will arise does not exist, the present that abides does not exist, karma does not exist, habitual tendencies do not exist, ignorance does not exist, mind does not exist, wisdom does not exist, samsara does not exist, nirvana does not exist, awareness itself is also not existent, anything that appears as wisdom does not exist, all of that arises from non-attachment." Thereafter, recognizing emptiness as appearance, thus, although there is nothing, the self-power manifests anything.
