The Five Stages of Sadhana of Bhagavan Vajrasattva, Concise Words and Clear Meaning. The Five Stages of Sadhana of Bhagavan Vajrasattva, Concise Words and Clear Meaning. ༄༅། །The Five Stages of Sadhana of Bhagavan Vajrasattva, called Concise Words and Clear Meaning, are hereby recorded. ༈ Om Vajrasattva Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओṃ वज्रसत्त्व हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Sattva, Hum). The body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas, the great secret that gathers all lineages into one, to the sole Vajrasattva, I first respectfully prostrate. Here, I will briefly explain the essential meaning of his sadhana. That is, for a practitioner who has attained pure faith and respect in the vehicle of secret mantra and has entered the stages, there are five ways to practice the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva: outer, inner, secret, and innermost secret, which is the very nature of it. According to the outer Kriya, on the crown of one's ordinary body, on a lotus and moon seat, resides Bhagavan Vajrasattva, with a white body, holding a vajra at his heart, and a bell at his waist, with his feet in the royal posture of play. He is adorned with all peaceful aspects. At his heart, visualize the essence of speech, the syllable Hum, and the hundred-syllable mantra on a moon disc. The rays of light from it gather the blessings of all Buddhas, sons, disciples, and noble beings, and dissolve into it. From that, a stream of nectar descends, filling the body of Vajrasattva, and a stream of nectar flows from all parts of his body and the thumb of his right foot. It descends from the crown of my head and the heads of all sentient beings. Entering the body, it purifies all diseases and demonic obstacles accumulated since beginningless time, especially sins, obscurations, transgressions, and defilements, along with the flesh, blood, and bones of the support, all turning black and flowing out. It goes under the earth. Then, thinking that it is purified by the action of the wind, reciting the power of the hundred-syllable mantra is the outer practice. To practice according to the inner Upa, the Vajrasattva on the crown descends. Residing in one's own Brahmanarandhra, the white light of his body purifies the sins and obscurations accumulated by the body of myself and all other sentient beings, thinking in this way and reciting the power of the hundred-syllable mantra. Then, descending to the throat, Vajrasattva, together with the mantra garland and seed syllable, turns red. As before, with red light, purify the sins of speech, thinking in this way and reciting the hundred-syllable mantra. Likewise, at the heart, the deity, mantra, and seed syllable with blue light

Purifying the defilements of the mind, visualize a series of yellow light rays of Vajrasattva at the navel, purifying all the defilements of the three doors, and transforming one's own body into a mass of light. Reciting the Hundred Syllable Mantra is the inner practice. Practicing according to the Secret Yoga: One's own body, the mass of light, also becomes empty. Within that emptiness, the moon, the syllable Hūṃ, (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) and the vajras are formed, and they all merge into one. One's self is Vajrasattva on a lotus and moon seat, with legs in the vajra posture, hands holding the vajra and bell in a pleasing manner. Complete with the adornments of the peaceful and complete Sambhogakaya, at the heart is a wisdom being identical to oneself, fully present. In its heart, at the center of the vajra residing on the moon, is the syllable Hūṃ. From that, rays of light from the garland of mantras radiate, offering to the victorious ones and purifying the obscurations of sentient beings. Thinking in this way, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as much as possible, which is the secret practice. Furthermore, practicing according to the tantras of the Unsurpassed Secret: In this way, all that appears is the body of Vajrasattva. All that is heard as sound is the mantra of the Hundred Syllables. All thoughts in the realm of the mind are the play of the Dharma nature, free from the imputation of grasping consciousness. This is recited. This temporarily purifies the diseases, evil influences, and defilements of body, speech, and mind. In the bardo, fearful forms and unpleasant sounds, deluded appearances, do not arise. One sees and hears the deity and mantra, and the Dharma nature is realized. Ultimately, it accomplishes the vajra of body, speech, and mind of all Buddhas. This is the general principle of all unsurpassed secret mantras. Practicing in this way is the extremely secret practice. Practicing solely according to Ati Yoga: The appearing outer world, the container, and the sentient beings, the essence, all dissolve into the deity's body. That, and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing in the sky, dissolve into oneself. Oneself dissolves into the wisdom being. That dissolves into the moon. That dissolves into the vajra. That syllable Hūṃ dissolves into the nada, ultimately dissolving into emptiness. Finally, with the sound of Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ས་ཏྭ་ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: ॐ वज्रसत्त्व हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ Vajrasattva Hūṃ), it arises as the deity's body. Thus, the nature of mind, appearing as deity and mantra, is emptiness, transcending all identifications, which is the completion stage. Even so, the appearance is not obstructed, and in a state like illusion, the body, the appearing outer world, the essence, the mandala, and the wheel appear, which is the generation
