With the lineage of a hundred and the Vajra Master who has matured the six yogas of the Kalachakra, who must reside in a hidden place of accomplishment, I respectfully prostrate to the sacred remains of the great compassionate one, and for seven days, I make offerings to the best of my ability, and perform the outer, inner, and secret Tsogkor (assembly circle) in accordance with the tantras. Previously, I had a subtle examination of how to generate the wisdom of ultimate solitude of mind, and although this is not a real experience of realization, a correct understanding that dispels doubt has arisen in my mind. I have gained a more definite understanding of the blessings of offering to the sacred remains of the Lama. There, the King of Nepal and the King of Ribrak Gorsha also sent letters saying that they would not prevent the restoration of the Shingkun Stupa and would provide some assistance. Then, passing through Lhatse (Lhatse County) to Latö Jang's "Shri," it is said that there are thirteen auspicious mountains in Jambudvipa, and I arrived at the foot of one of them. At that time, I clearly saw the appearance of the great worldly deity, the six-faced youth, and the form of Ganapati. It seems that he is the deity who especially dominates the land of Nepal, so I wondered if this was an auspicious sign for going to Nepal. Earlier, when I was staying in Tsurphu Monastery, if I had offered a long life prayer to His Holiness (the Dalai Lama), it would have been a very important auspicious sign, but I was too timid to offer it. Later, I learned that His Holiness's activities were extremely extensive, and that the rituals aimed at His Holiness's long life were well-performed for the sake of good fortune, and that I was receiving nourishment for good deeds, and that I was praying to the best of my ability for the stability of His Holiness's lotus feet in the great sacred places. This gave me courage, and regardless of whether or not it would be noticed by His Holiness, I prepared to offer a long life prayer with purity and respect. I specifically sent the monk Tenzin Dorje, who practices with me, to Lhasa (Lha-ldan) to visit His Holiness. I myself immediately set out from here, passing through Dingri Langkhor, which is like the Vajra Seat of the pacifiers prophesied by the Buddha, and through Pema Paltang, where one of the four great famous lakes is located. Pray that the small virtues accumulated will become an inexhaustible source of aspiration until the attainment of the supreme state of enlightenment. On the way to Nepal, and during the restoration of the great self-arisen stupa, may all obstacles and harms from humans and non-humans be eliminated, and may you protect and bless us with a vajra enclosure, without abandoning us. Please know, know, know! Therefore, I offer this rough account of my own situation, like a drop of water scooped from a pond, to your wish-fulfilling jewel-like ears. From the realm where the eight worldly concerns are never allowed to enter, to the teachings of the great saints pervaded by immeasurable great compassion, and the very nature of their activities, beautiful sights, pleasant sounds, comfortable sensations, like the topknot of the son of the sage Rishi, like the good lineage of a goddess, may it be constantly and uninterruptedly bestowed, please know, know, know! This is a petition bound by the pure and immaculate touch of the divine realm, offered by Rigdzin Jueknangpa—Sarwa Mangalam! To the feet of the deity among the snow mountains, the deity among deities, the supreme king's agent, the great and luminous one. This letter, offered by Rigdzin Jueknangpa on December 1st, upon departing from Mentok Dzong, is of great importance, so please deliver it as quickly as possible without delay or loss along the way, please, please, please!
