Fourth, the nature of the Sangha, possessing the two qualities of wisdom and liberation. The definition is: because the correct and virtuous path and one's own continuum are gathered without separation, it is the Sangha. The divisions are: the Sangha of the Lesser Vehicle Hearers and Solitary Realizers, and the Sangha of the Great Vehicle Bodhisattvas. The etymology is: if derived from the word "sanga," it means gathering, that is, beings together with gods do not separate from this path, so it is the Sangha. Prostration means seeing and meeting, meditation is habit, with reverent prostration, that is, the supreme wise ones perform prostration in a complete manner in three ways. Second, from the perspective of remembering qualities, extensively offering and praising: if derived from the word "ratna," it means jewel, that is, the Three Jewels, which are rare and supreme in the world, established through six equal dharmas, are the field for generating merit, the protector who pleases all beings, abiding without fault, liberating the world, abiding in the Four Noble Truths, leading to the path of peace, not harmed by the evil attacks of heretics and demons, the source of speech, mind, majesty, and the heart not being harmed, marks and signs, power and fearlessness, etc., with its fame pervading all three realms, in order to express its nature, merely seeing the image of the teacher and the form of letters written on cloth, like a daughter, pearl, vine, meditation, one-pointedness of mind, experiencing great joy and generating faith, thinking about its meaning, thereby cutting off the conceptual thoughts of what is to be abandoned by seeing that obstruct the path to liberation, the seductive face of the demon girl, the garden of Kunda flowers, being made unfortunate by the sunlight of the wisdom of the path of seeing, cutting off in a way that uproots, thereby striving to abandon the innate afflictions and the parts to be abandoned by meditation, this is produced from the power of the Buddha's compassion, therefore, the correct Dharma speech related to all the causes and effects of the Three Jewels is what all beings should hear, and is a powerful antidote to the afflictions and conceptual thoughts of the nature of samsara, therefore, so to speak, it is a figurative adornment.

Completed. The necessity for doing so is, as Nagarjuna said: The act of praising and offering to the teacher by the author of treatises is not without purpose, it is to generate faith and longing for the teacher and the treatises. Like these situations, the story that happened in the past is, in the Kalpalata it says: A merchant named Great Wealth, appeared in Varanasi in the past. His family was fortunate, named Jewel Possessor. When he became the fifth master, he, who had no son, on top of the stupa, with reverence, made a grand offering. As a result of the ripening of good deeds, he became the daughter of the King of Simhala, named Pearl Vine. Later, in another life, she became arrogant and ignorant due to wealth, slandered offerings, and became stingy, so she worked as a maid for a long time. Whatever good and non-good deeds, beings sow in the field of samsara. As it is said, when the wife of Great Wealth became a maid named Rohita or wet nurse in the Shakya family, the Blessed One was teaching the Dharma in the Nyagrodha Garden, the wife of the Shakya Great Name, adorned with all ornaments, went to listen to the Dharma, and because she had not left desire, lust arose. Ananda told the wife of Great Name about this, and the wife took off her ornaments and had the maid wet nurse send them home. When a daughter of the Shakya family saw that she had a string of pearl necklaces around her neck, but only cared about dressing up and did not concentrate on listening to the Dharma, in order to break her arrogance, she asked the maid wet nurse to take her pearl necklace back, so she said: Alas, this maid's caste is so pitiful! Doesn't she even have the leisure to see the face of the Buddha and hear the Dharma? Knowing this, the Blessed One wrote on a piece of paper with miraculous power: If good does not arise, it is to think of the cause of destruction, to the good that I have spoken, generate diligence and practice. After writing it, he handed it to her. After that, she happily recited the verses, thinking only of the Buddha as she walked, and was killed by a milkmaid. She died with faith in the Buddha and was reborn as the queen of the King of Simhala.

When she conceived, there was a rain of pearls there. When she was born on the full moon, there was also a rain of pearls, so her name was named Pearl Woman or Pearl Vine. When she grew up, the merchants of Shravasti built a large ship, entered the sea, arrived there and stayed, reciting the verses of the sutras, which were heard by the girl. Then, she summoned them to the palace and said: Sing that song from the central region. They said: This is not a song, it is the teaching of the Buddha. Hearing the name Buddha, her heart rejoiced, all the hairs on her body stood on end, and she felt amazed, asking the reason for the name Buddha. They also told her the truth. Therefore, she obtained great joy and offered a letter of request to the Bhagavan. The All-Knowing Bhagavan, knowing full well, read the contents of the letter: Alas, you are truly the memory obtained by the goods of merit! It is the good medicine of the world that stops decay, suffering, and desire! The words transmitted from the Bhagavan are the place for cultivating true wisdom! This Bhagavan is my nectar, a truly great fortune! Thinking thus, he had the painters paint the Buddha's image, but they could not paint it, so he emitted light and used various colors of paint to depict it. After that, he painted taking refuge in the Three Jewels, the five precepts, and the twelve links of dependent origination in accordance with and not in accordance with the way, and the Noble Eightfold Path. Above it was written two verses: One should strive, one should exert oneself, to enter the Buddha's teachings. Like an elephant in a reed hut, destroy the army of the Lord of Death. Whoever, with great diligence, practices this Dharma and discipline, having completely abandoned the cycle of rebirth, will put an end to suffering. Thus it was written. A letter was sent to the King of Simhala, summoning all the people living there, and arranging the Thangka with great respect. He commanded the merchants: Pearl Woman Buddha image, below

From taking refuge and so on, it conveys the path to realizing nectar, and the meaning of liberation from suffering through diligently practicing the above two verses. The merchants went as instructed and gave the letter to the king. The king also arranged the image of liberation according to the contents of the letter, and all the people praised, 'We prostrate to the Buddha!' The pearl-bearing woman, with faithful remembrance, had her hair stand on end and her eyes filled with tears, asked the merchants about the meaning of the painted scene, and they told her as it was. Then, the girl began to contemplate the meaning of dependent origination. The great ocean of blood and tears dried up, the great mountain of bones was destroyed, and the twenty high peaks of the mountain of the view of the perishable collection were destroyed by the vajra of wisdom. For all phenomena, she obtained the Dharma eye, which is without dust, without defilement, and completely pure, and she manifested the fruit of entering the stream. Having seen the truth, she spoke in verse: 'O Buddha who dwells afar, having completely purified the eye of wisdom, who possesses such nourishment? I prostrate to that skilled physician! O Buddha who dwells afar, having uprooted the mountain of views, having dispelled the thorns of views, I prostrate to that skilled physician!' Having said this, she offered three bushels of pearls to the Three Jewels and also requested to take refuge and abide in the five precepts. That image was named 'Radiant Thangka,' and it became known as the first of all paintings. Third, the commitment to compose is divided into two parts: committing to compose by contemplating the benefits of upholding the sacred Dharma, and committing to compose by contemplating the faults of not upholding the sacred Dharma. The first part is: Like the great Shakyamuni, who knows all knowable things and possesses supreme wisdom, the immeasurable collections of sutras and tantras taught with five perfections, and the treatises established by the noble individuals who follow Shakyamuni, connected by five great bonds, and established with four branches of necessity and connection, adorned with many qualities of words and meanings, like the great ocean, a treasure of purifying water, profound and difficult to fathom.
