The body that arises without any obstruction, the play of wisdom spontaneously accomplished without seeking or fabrication. As it is said, the three vajras of body, speech, and mind, which are the essence of indivisible nature, to that supreme one, we, the assembled retinue, bow down and prostrate with realization and devotion. This secret tantra of wisdom, free from all effort, you have spoken for the sake of fortunate ones to realize the meaning of the nature of reality through the gateway of words, the secret of six attachments, three inversions, and eight efforts. We, the assembled retinue, ask: How many names does this tantra, which reveals the nature of all phenomena, have, and how should we hold them? Thus they requested. Then, the Tathagata spoke: Difficult to realize, hence secret; related, hence tantra; the essence of all vehicles' realization and accomplishment gathered, the names of this heart essence are: It is also called 'Cutting the Chain of Afflictive Attachments,' and also called 'The Lamp of Wisdom Illuminating All Phenomena.' The Mind of Samantabhadra's Wisdom, the Ornament of Great Blissful Beauty of Wisdom, the Secret Tantra of Luminous Wisdom. Since this has no beginning or end, it is the tantra equal to the expanse of space, and it is also called 'Great Equality of All Gathered.' It is also called 'The Treasure of Secretly Gathered Wisdom.' The nature of all phenomena, without cause or condition, is self-arisen; from the beginning, unobscured, hence luminous; the great essence of unconditioned nature, primordially free from the attachment of nature, fabrication, and dependence. How does one realize that unconditioned, natural, self-existing appearance through skillful means? It is 'Cutting the Chain of Afflictive Attachments and Grasping.' Since all phenomena are gathered into the mind of enlightenment, there is nothing other than the nature of mind, and thus it illuminates the lamp of self-existing wisdom. Since essence and realization never change, it is self-arisen from birth, and spontaneously accomplished without effort. No matter how confusion and liberation abide, it never goes beyond the meaning of the heart essence, hence it is Samantabhadra. Even if it transforms into anything due to the influence of inverted attachments and confusion, the nature itself is self-existing wisdom, and there is nothing else to be abandoned, hence it is Samantabhadra. One's own awareness is the conceptual

The mind of the Buddhas, free from a mother, is the great equanimity without partiality to the four extremes. It is blissful because it is free from the suffering of deliberate effort. The great bliss is that which transcends all the limits of the characteristics of pleasure and pain. It is greater than partiality because it is spontaneously accomplished as the source of all the play of samsara and nirvana. This very mandala of self-luminous wisdom, free from grasping and being grasped, is the Victorious Ones'. The beauty of body, speech, and mind, wisdom, in self-appearance, is an ornament of mutual liberation. The wisdom that is self-luminous, without duality of object and knowledge, is liberated from all common bliss, and because it transcends feeling, it abides in the state of realizing great bliss. The yogi's inconceivable joy is also called an inseparable ornament. Like the sky, which is unthinkable in terms of existence or non-existence, it is without limit. The three aspects of spontaneously present enlightenment mind have no four extremes, nor a center dependent on them. Like the sky, which remains stable even when eons form and dissolve, the nature of mind is primordially clear, without any change in moments or continuity, therefore it is eternal. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are gathered into the mind of enlightenment, thus it is complete. Since all without exception are primordially gathered into the mind of enlightenment, it is spontaneously accomplished without effort and is perfected. Since primordially self-luminous wisdom has no acceptance or rejection of good or bad, it is Samantabhadra. Appearance is the vessel, existence is the essence, the very nature of samsara. The Victorious Ones' intention, without self or other, vessel or essence, is impartial and equal. Where is it equal? In the self-luminous nature, having abandoned the partiality of infinity, it is equal in the great reality that is impartial and balanced. As the source of the teachings, it has become the pinnacle of the vehicle, therefore it is a secret means characterized by the uncommon meaning that gathers all the essence of the knowable and the practice of the teachings. Because it is difficult to realize, there is no secret; because it is inexhaustible, it is a treasure; because it is self-luminous, it is awareness, the treasure of the heart. Just as the sky opens up and existence appears clearly, because it explains the general meaning of the Buddha's teachings, the wisdom secret tantra, it does not contradict the words of the omniscient one or the translator. This. May it be auspicious! In a bucket made of gold from Gulang Lung Sul, pour the white milk of a lioness, as essence.

Like decay. Practice in the center of your heart, make it firm. Like a lifeless corpse, conceal it from the unworthy. Cherish this essence of the teachings like your own heart. The place to bury the scriptures is in the depths of a carved rock or the bottom of the water, make it undamaged with smeared substances, and then place it. Thus spoke the Teacher. From the Tantra of Secret Wisdom, the seventh chapter on the categories of names and the twelfth chapter on the teachings are complete. Complete. The Indian Abbot Śrī Siṃha Prabhaṭa and the Tibetan translator Bhikṣu Vairocana, in the assembly hall of Ḍahena, inquired, translated, and finalized it. Se Bande Jungden, relying on the commentary of the wise, researched with his own wisdom, and made good annotations to the root tantra. May virtue cause all beings, without effort, to realize the meaning and attain Buddhahood! May it be virtuous! Wishing auspiciousness! Tantra of Secret Wisdom, the words of Śrī Siṃha, commentary by Se Bande Jungden.
