Again and again, demolish. Whatever good or bad thoughts arise, stare intently. Also, from "The Quintessence of Kadak Instructions: Key Instructions on the Path": This awareness, Bodhicitta, Without being defiled by deluded thoughts, By abiding in its own clear, natural state, Without engaging in grasping at objects, However it arises, there is no grasping. No mind arises that grasps at self. That which arises without grasping, Is the purity of the appearance of the grasped object. Whatever of the five poisons arises in the mind, Whatever is thought, without grasping with the mind, The movement dissolves in its own place. By practicing in this way, In the stainless, self-aware wisdom, Clearly and brightly, it arises naturally, When experiencing it in the continuum, Without being defiled by clinging thoughts, A blissful, clear, non-conceptual experience will arise. It does not arise from elsewhere, But one knows one's own face by oneself. This is the ultimate intention of the Buddha. It is said that the meaning is condensed and easy to understand, so it is written down. Otherwise, at this time, there are many sutras and tantras in general and the teachings of our own tradition, but I have not written them down for fear of too many words, and I think that the meaning can be understood with just this much. Nowadays, some who boast of having received instructions abandon the essence of the meaning and focus mainly on meditating on the stages in order, so the practice does not fit with the continuum, and it is like the Dharma and the individual are separate. Because they have not tasted the flavor of reality, the mind remains in an ordinary state, and without completely cutting off the root of subtle and coarse thoughts, they mistakenly believe that they are abiding in the vast realm of lower movement. And mistakenly believing that conceptual thoughts are to be abandoned, they try to suppress them, etc., seeing that they are going under the power of mistakes. Mainly because the method of settling the mind is crucial. First, without being mistaken about the meaning introduced by the guru, practice it, and before the union of shamatha and vipashyana is achieved, use the guru's instructions to remove obstacles and enhance practice in accordance with experience. At this time, the Northern Treasure Great Perfection's own treasury of precious jewels for removing obstacles seems precious, so please practice it in accordance with the measure of the continuum. Likewise, in the "Lamp of the Precious Essence," this book called "Notes: Clarifying the Meaning of the Text" was written at the urging of the Wheel-Turning King, the Great Treasure Revealer, Chokyi Gyalpo, the Immutable Vajra, by the old monk Pema Trinley, mainly based on the text, combined with the guru's oral instructions, without embellishment or self-deception, may those with knowledge understand this.

Please examine carefully. May this virtue lead to good deeds in all lifetimes. Through the feast of ripening and liberation of the early translation teachings, may the experience of Trekchö and Tögal be perfected, and may the supreme state of Kuntuzangpo, the primordial protector, be attained. Furthermore, in some guidebooks, there are detailed explanations of the outer mandala's protection wheel and the visualization instructions that rely on supports, without grasping the meaning of the treasure text. Because of various different ways of writing, such as leaving the content of the text as it is, it was impossible to resist the strict command of Khyabdag Lama Dzodral, the treasure revealer of the lineage, Tertön Lingpa. Although my own experience and innate wisdom are very limited, especially as I am old and my eyes are not clear, it seems very difficult. However, in order to fulfill the Lama's command and also to benefit some who are in need, I mainly rely on the original yellow paper of the treasure text's guidebook, and the oral records of Zurchen Dorje Chang, which mention the preliminary practices of Kadak Rangjung Rangshar. The reason for this is that other Mind Accomplishment Dharma cycles are mainly scattered in the Southern Golden Treasury and the Central Heart Treasury, etc., but this Dharma, together with the Kadak Dharma class, resides as a profound treasure in the Eastern Conch Treasury, so I have supplemented similar content from there. Furthermore, in order not to mix in my own fabrications and adulterations, Pema Trinley, a monk and hermit of Thubten Dorje Drak, completed the work for his own and others' benefit on the auspicious full moon of Saga Dawa, on a Friday. It was written down by the attendant monk Pema Pende. May this virtue cause all beings to attain the state of the primordial protector. May there be auspicious increase! The foundation of all paths is refuge, the essence of the Mahayana supreme Bodhicitta, the essence of the mandala which accumulates the two favorable conditions of merit and wisdom, the essence of Vajrasattva meditation and recitation which purifies obstacles and sins, the essence of the four thoughts that turn the mind towards impermanence which are cherished to be liberated from samsara, and the ultimate method of transferring the wisdom of realization to one's own mindstream, the essence of Guru Yoga, these five.
