Therefore, without error in the lineage's tenets, adorned with unerring and certain scriptural authority, in this degenerate age, it is made clear relying on the Guru's command. Thus, like the oral instructions of the three lineages, the supreme essential instructions of the valid path are fully explained. By the virtue of that, may all beings pervading the sky attain manifest enlightenment in the primordial kingdom! Auspiciousness! From the Teacher who embodies the three kayas, the meaning of the oral transmission from the successive lineage of vidyadharas, may the intention of intelligent beings be perfected, and may the essence of the teachings flourish in all directions! Thus, this short commentary on the Vajrasattva Great Space was orally transmitted by the great vidyadhara Śrī Siṃha to the great translator Vairocana. According to the old text, the writing style has been restored, and in accordance with the needs based on the difficult points of the great sutra, the great and the thigle have been slightly explained and adorned with scriptural authority. In the past, the supreme incarnation Kuntuzangpo said, "Do not be negligent in the Great Space." Later, Kyabje Rigdzin, the unequaled Khenchen Lekshe Dülwai Dé, also instructed, "In the section on mind, be sure to write a clarifying letter." Accordingly, at the urging of Choktrul Pema Tsultrim, who also provided the writing basis, the wandering mendicant Thubten Khyentse Lodrö copied it completely from the clear light supreme vehicle treasury of the Serkhang hermitage, the demon-subduing activity-all-pervading Ling, the secluded place of Ömin Kathok. May this also cause the general teachings of the Buddha and the precious teachings of the early translation sutra, illusion, and mind of the Nyingma school to flourish and spread in all directions and times! In the vast expanse of the Dharmata Tathagatagarbha, whatever appearances there are on the paths of samsara and nirvana, may they be enlightened in the great equality of all-pervadingness, the supreme clear light Vajra Essence. The root of its tantra is the Great Space, the single essential point of Vajrasattva's intention, the great treasury of precious jewel Dharma doors, opened by Khenchen Khyentse Lodrö.
