These are the dharmas. For whose benefit did they descend? It was for the sake of the god Indra, the one with boundless wisdom; the Naga king Jocpo, the one with wisdom like the ocean; the Yaksha Star Arrow Face, the one with wisdom and pacification; the Rakshasa Lanka Ten-Faced, the one with wisdom and skillful means; and the Licchavi people among humans, known as the stainless one, the one with supreme and peaceful wisdom. Thus, these five noble lineages descended for the benefit of those who realize the truth of the uncontaminated, possess the fortune of the true Dharma, and are gathered together as vidyadharas. When did they descend? At the time when Shakyamuni Buddha was about to pass into nirvana, prophesying how the secret mantra would arise. In the forty-third chapter of the Sutra, it is said: After I disappear from here, in twelve years and eight years, in the realm known as the Three Abodes of the Gods, a supreme essence of the teachings will appear. In the eastern border of Jambudvipa, that fortunate lineage among humans, known as King Ja, will manifest the signs of the past. On the summit called "Fierce One," the companion's sattva, the inferior body, Vajrapani will appear to the lord of Lanka and others. Thus it was said, twenty-eight years after the Buddha's passing, the five noble lineages arrived at the summit of Malaya, and prayed to the Buddhas of the ten directions with twenty-three verses of supplication. The Buddhas heard and all gathered in the Willow Grove, and commanded Vajrapani: Alas! Lord of Secrets, have you forgotten the armor of the past? Do you not know the suffering of the world? Having risen from compassion, you should dispel the suffering of the world. Vajrapani said: From beginningless and endless time, when is the time for exhortation? I will also manifest such miracles. Having thus assented, he spoke the tantras and agamas to the five noble lineages. In particular, the story of how King Ja received the secret mantra and attained accomplishment, as well as the lineage and the personal oral transmission, is as follows: In the land of Zahor, the king of Aparamurta, named Udajana, had a prince named Ja, who was of the lineage of secret mantra. On Mount Malaya, the blessing of Vajrapani speaking the secret mantra to the five noble lineages appeared to Prince Ja in a dream as follows: On the southeast side of that mountain, there is a cave called Kriyam Asurada.

In a place endowed with various virtues such as the three stages, Prince Dza was practicing the outer tantras when he had seven dream omens. The first was: Vajrapāṇi (藏文,梵文天城体,Vajrapāṇi,金刚手) appeared in the sky in front of him. Rays of light emanated from his body, purifying the conceptual obscurations of the disciples. From his speech emanated the sound of the teachings and vehicles, which the disciples could understand. From his mind arose a blazing vajra, which dissolved into the king's heart. From the crown of his head arose the sun, which dissolved into the king's crown. These were the visions in the dream. The Prophecy Vajra says, "Body, speech, mind, and symbols dissolve." This dream omen is a sign that all habitual tendencies and obscurations will be purified. The second dream omen was: all the Sugatas of the three times were riding on the sun and moon, holding golden wheels with a thousand spokes, and turning the wheel of Dharma for all sentient beings. As it says in the text, "Performing the Dharma wheel." This is a sign of gaining power over the Dharma. The third dream omen was: golden clouds formed in the sky, the light of existence shone, and miraculous thunder sounded the sound of the sacred Dharma, buzzing and humming. As it says, "Proclaiming a great Dharma sound." This is a sign of showering a great rain of Dharma on beings with compassion. The fourth dream omen was: a stream of nectar descended from the clouds in the sky, sprinkling all places. The conceptual obscurations of all disciples were purified, and the sound of the mantra "Everything is Vajra Yoga" was heard. As it says, "Falling as a rain of nectar." This is a sign that all beings will realize the meaning of the mantra. The fifth dream omen was: from the clouds in the sky, a precious box was taken out, containing precious blue paper with scriptures and scrolls written in gold with self-imprinted seals, falling to the ground like shooting stars. As it says, "Falling as a rain of jewels." This is a sign of the arrival of scriptures or the empowerment of the Dharma king. The sixth dream omen was: for those scriptures and scrolls, Vidyadharas and Bodhisattvas, some made offerings, some circumambulated, and some

He dreamed of the earth proclaiming sounds of praise, because he had made a very great offering. This is a sign of the greatness of the secret mantra. The seventh is, from the sky, the sound of a prophecy that has not yet taken shape. Completely endowed with karma and fortune, you are a great net of merit. In what form will you prophesy, and prophesy that a victor will appear. The essence of the teachings will be proclaimed to you, the fortunate one. Thus it was said, and this is also the prediction of the Buddhas for the sacred site. That sign is a sign of widely proclaiming the sacred secret. Then the king awoke and went to the top of the palace, where he saw a Vajrapani statue made of purplish precious gems, filling the entire room. He prostrated to that statue three times, circumambulated it three times, and placed the feet of the statue on the crown of his head, saying: Ema, what a rare and supreme form! It is the glory of the supreme guide! You are the supreme deity of the mind of faith! You are the supreme deity of karma, practiced from the past! I will not abandon you even for hundreds of kalpas! Having said this, he regarded Vajrapani as his Yidam and practiced for seven months. As a result, books and scrolls appeared manifestly. This is actually the manifestation of the blessing of speech in the books. The power of the combination of the king's aspiration and the compassionate activity of the Buddhas made the manifested scrolls understandable through the observation of wisdom. From within them, the chapter on the practice of Vajrasattva's mind first appeared manifestly. Through the practice of the mind, seven months of practice made Vajrasattva truly accomplished, and he appeared in the sky in front of him, showing his face and saying: Son of the lineage, what accomplishment do you desire? The king replied: I wish to understand these scrolls. Vajrasattva said: Son of the lineage, purify your own aggregates, in the future you will be prophesied by the Lord of Secrets. Having said this, he disappeared. Then he practiced Vajrapani for seven months, and finally achieved it. Vajrapani actually appeared, brandishing the vajra three times, and said in the Fifty Verses on the Guru: The power to practice asceticism of abandoning and accepting, there is no sin if offered with virtue. Therefore, he obtained the empowerment of meaning.

Thus, the stainless vidyadhara was accomplished. It was prophesied that the teachings of words should be requested from Licchavi. Previously prophesied, the deity of aspiration, Vajrapani, also appeared in person after seven months. From that time, the supreme accomplishment prophesied by the previous Buddhas was obtained. Thus, from the essence of realizing the ultimate truth, the wisdom of awareness itself increased. The thought of wanting to know all the scriptures was also accomplished at that time. Thus, the meaning of all the teachings was understood as they are. Third, performing the gathering and accomplishment in sequence, the history of accomplishment, upright. After the king understood the meaning of the scriptures and accomplished them, from then on, Jambudvipa was accomplished because there was a Jambudvipa tree with sweet fruits. Therefore, it is called Jambudvipa. Also, in Vasubandhu's commentary on the Treasury of Knowledge, it is said that it is called Jambudvipa because of the power of its fruit. In the center of India, on the seat where the Bodhisattva, the last of existence, meditated with vajra-like samadhi, it is said that on that, on the golden ground in the center, the Bodhisattva resided and generated vajra-like samadhi, thus manifestly accomplishing the Vajra Seat. Other places cannot tolerate its body and mind. Thus it is said. Thus, to the east of the Vajra Seat is the place of Zahor. To its northeast is Malaya. On the southeast border is the Asura cave. This place is trodden by the feet of all Buddhas and is a palace accomplished by vidyadharas, which is different from other places and is especially excellent. The door of that sacred place is crescent-shaped, with wonderful self-arising patterns, an eight-cornered jewel cave, or seven treasures with self-arising sun and moon patterns, and many wonderful self-arising things such as the eight auspicious symbols inside. Previously, it was a supreme sacred place where accomplished ones attained accomplishment, a house for practicing secret mantras. In the Iron Commentary, it is said: On the top resides the king of skills, on the face stands a white rock puppy, decorated with the appearance of a lion leaping into the sky, medicinal herbs and tsara grow completely, there will be no more gathering sickness. On the crown of the head is Kalandaka, the sound of two people living alone, it with the treasure will...
