It itself arises from the নিশ্চিত (nges pa'i dbyings) of certainty. Furthermore, regarding the greatness of the person who holds this tantra, as stated in the thirteenth chapter: "Whoever has faith in this," etc., "will be regarded as a close son." Also, regarding the greatness of the tantra to be held: "In as many kalpas as there are dust particles in the fields," etc., "even if searched for, the Victorious Ones will not find it." This is what is said. Second, entrusting it to future generations is twofold. First, entrusting it to a person with the eye of Dharma, as stated in the twenty-second chapter: "The mudra of all the Tathagatas, this great secret essence, whoever speaks after realizing it, that very one is me, and the empowerment is also complete." Second, entrusting it with certainty through prophecy, along with reasons, as a continuation of the above: "This is a certain prophecy; the son is born from the heart; he abides in the land of the greatly learned vidyadhara." Also, as stated in the thirteenth chapter: "The supreme of all great mudras," etc., "give away body and possessions as alms." This is giving to a worthy vessel. Following that: "At no other time should it ever be given," etc., "burning and scorching will remain for a long time." This shows that it should not be given to an unworthy vessel. Third, entrusting it to the mothers and dakinis, as stated in the extensive text: "This essence of my heart, spreading in all ten directions, and entrusting it to its dharani, the wish-fulfilling treasury is the place of the command. To those who are able to uphold the teachings, entrust the secret essence as an offering." This is entrusting the task of protecting the teachings and spreading them in all ten directions to the mothers and dakinis. Second, distinguishing the categories of words, as stated in the third chapter of the tantra: "All dharmas are merely designations of names; the teacher, in accordance with the meaning, designated names and words to show; showing that names and words have no substance." As shown, there are three types. The essence is what explains the content to be expressed, which is the expresser, that which appears as sound and is heard, the continuum of sound, or the continuum of letters that appears as a book. It also has the essence of three assemblies. For example, the wood that supports the roof is called a pillar; like that, for any dharma, whichever sound is that thing, like that, designating and expressing it is a name. Many names gathered together are the assembly of names, like a dictionary.

By adding case endings to that name, the distinction between this and that thing is shown, and that is a word. For example, like, "At the top of the horse-landing place, male and female animals rely on the left and right sides of the wheel." The smallest unit that clarifies those names and words is called a letter. Letters are composed of vowels and consonants, letters combine to form names, names combine to form words, and words combine to form verses, prose, and mixed forms, etc. All the scriptures are composed of letters. As it is said in the thirteenth chapter of this very tantra: "Letters rely on the collection of names attributed to sound, and words perfectly express meaning." Thus, this root tantra has twenty-two chapters, and the way of teaching the upper, middle, and lower parts of the chapters, as well as the individual sections, is easily understood by examining the textual commentary of the scriptures. The extremely difficult to hear Glorious Essence Heart Tantra, from the Sixth Vajrapani to the Lama, the lineage transmits the essence of all Sutra and Tantra teachings, this fortunate opportunity to hear and contemplate is truly amazing! In the degenerate age, among beings like evil emanations, the unbearable stench of the eight worldly concerns poisons, seeing even the lamp of the Buddha's teachings becoming dim, even with intense altruism, what can be done? However, for those who have awakened their lineage and possess the eye of Dharma, and because it is meaningful to exert one's own intelligence, this slight explanation is based on the treatises of holy beings, and not on my own thoughts. Because of my limited intelligence, I cannot measure the profound meaning, and even if I only explain the general meaning of the words, there may be incorrect statements. For all the faults caused by partiality, arrogance, and self-conceit, I confess and repent from the bottom of my heart. May I in all lifetimes hold and teach this path, may I greatly accomplish the spreading of the great secret teachings, and may I, like Vajrapani, accomplish the altruistic activity of establishing all beings in the state of Vajradhara! According to the meaning of the Glorious Secret Essence Tantra, combining the Ornament of Thought and the notes of Rabjampa Chodrak, etc., slightly abbreviating the quotations and words, in order to make it easier to understand, the notes written earlier, again at the request of Jetsun Palden Jigme and other seekers of the Dharma, in order to clearly explain the teachings of each chapter of the tantra, etc., according to the view of Vajrapani's Ornament of Thought.

Apart from supplementing with sections lacking the letters 'la' and 'ka,' the main focus was solely on concise writing. Again, in the Wood Dog year, this was written by the mendicant yogi Gyurme Tsewang Chokdrub, the lowest of the Kahthogpa's followers. If there are any errors, I beseech forgiveness before the mandala deities. If there are any merits, may all beings be established in the state of Samantabhadra, and may this essence of all secrets be as clear as the sun and moon in all directions and times! Sarva Mangalam!
