Invite with words such as "Great Lord of the Mandala of Directions and Times," and with "Rulu Rulu Hum Ehyehi Anaya Dzah Hum Bam Hoh." Then, when they have come nearby, say "Ram" and throw the wisdom flower. Know that this itself is also the meaning of the union mudra. Then, with the mantra "Om Vajra Krodha Samaya Hum," and with the verses of the song of requesting accomplishments, "Om, pacifier by wrath against wrath, compassionate wrathful majestic assembly, blazing blessings are exceedingly rare, grant them to me in that very place," urge them to dissolve without separation. By saying "Om Vajra Krodha Samaya Svaha," make it stable. By saying "Om Vajra Krodha Samaya Phet," accomplish the samaya. By saying "Om Vajra Krodha Samaya Hoh," it is subjugation, meaning to make the deity happy and pleased. "Ali Uli Tali Tapali Damshtra Gona Ratri, Kharam Yogini Khahi Hoh" is the song of offering with great joy when enjoying offerings, it is in the Apabhramsa language. Then, by saying "Hum Ha He Phet," clarify the samadhi. And also clarify it with words such as "purple-black, blue-black, yellow-black," which are spoken from the seventeenth chapter. Those who prioritize samadhi, know that it is sufficient to simply recite the praise of the wrathful deity's song after this. Those who prioritize the tsok offering, at this time should also offer the offering of liberation, the offering of union, the offering of nectar, and the offering of the five common desirable qualities, which are spoken of in the eighteenth chapter, and also do confession and aspiration, and then gather the mandala. If there is a need to accomplish some activity, then after enjoying the tsok, begin the activity, and even when discarding the remaining offering torma, also invite those who have become guests of the torma, offer offerings, entrust the activity, do confession and aspiration, and so forth, do whatever is appropriate as branches of the activity. Thus it is said in the instructions. That is all, that is the fifteenth chapter.

The chapter on the nature of the Wrathful Ones, the sixteenth chapter on the secret mantras of the Wrathful Ones, the seventeenth chapter on the mandala of the Wrathful Ones, the eighteenth chapter on the sacred offering, the twentieth chapter on activities, and the twenty-first chapter on the songs of the Wrathful Ones, all of which constitute the conditions for a single mandala, and how the order is related, and how to perform the rituals when needed, have been explained. Now, the individual branches will be described. In this regard, there is no fault in not explaining the meaning of these secret mantras, because the secret mantras should be understood only as the occasion for engaging in the necessary meaning. If one recites with faith and devotion, with one-pointed mind, it will become accomplishment, and it does not depend on understanding the meaning. If one recites only the transliteration, there will be no accomplishment, because it has not been blessed by those who have attained accomplishment. Understanding the meaning is also beneficial, in that one will not be confused in applying it to activities, and the lineage of understanding the meaning will arise in the mind. Therefore, a little of the directly translated meaning of these will be explained. Among them, "ཨཱོྂ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་མ་ཧཱ་ཤྲཱི་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་མ་ཧཱ་ཙཎྜ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओंसर्वतथागतमहाश्रीहेरुकमहाचण्ड, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ sarvatathāgatamahāśrīherukamahācaṇḍa, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, all Tathagatas, great auspicious Heruka, great wrathful) is called the root secret mantra. "སརྦ་དུཥྚན་ཏ་ཀ་ཧ་ན་ད་ཧ་པ་ཙ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: सर्वदुष्टान्तकहनदहपच, Romanized Sanskrit: sarvaduṣṭāntakahanadahapaca, Literal Chinese meaning: All evil ones, destroy, burn, cook) is called the action mantra. "ཧཱུཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुंहुंहुंफट, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum, Hum, Hum, Phat) is generally applied, and the following should be understood in the same way. The meaning of the letter "ཨཱོྂ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal Chinese meaning:) is the beginning of the secret mantra, it is prostration and blessing, it is the meaning of the supreme mantra. The detailed meaning is as explained above. "ཏ་ཐཱ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal Chinese meaning:) is "thus." "ག་ཏ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal Chinese meaning:) means realization, speaking, understanding, etc., therefore "དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal Chinese meaning: Tathagata) is a word representing the lineage. "ཤྲཱི་ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: श्रीहेरुक, Romanized Sanskrit: śrīheruka, Literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious Heruka) although there are many explanations, it is usually explained as "auspicious blood drinker." How is it explained? "ཤྲཱི་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: श्री, Romanized Sanskrit: śrī, Literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious) is a word for auspiciousness or good fortune. "ཧེ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: हे, Romanized Sanskrit: he, Literal Chinese meaning: Hey) is "ཧེ་ཧེ་ཀྲི་ར་ཐ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: हेहेक्रिरथ, Romanized Sanskrit: hehekiratha, Literal Chinese meaning: hehekiratha), meaning to enjoy and frolic. "རུ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: रु, Romanized Sanskrit: ru, Literal Chinese meaning: Ru) is "རུ་ཏི་ར་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: रुतिर, Romanized Sanskrit: rutira, Literal Chinese meaning: Rutira), meaning blood. "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: क, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, Literal Chinese meaning: Ka) is the possessive suffix, and combined it means enjoying blood, so it is called Heruka. Others explain that "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: क, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, Literal Chinese meaning: Ka) is "ཀ་པཱ་ལ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari: कपाल, Romanized Sanskrit: kapāla, Literal Chinese meaning: Kapala), meaning having the conduct of a skull bearer. Thus, it is the conduct of enjoying a skull filled with blood.

It is said to be Heruka because it possesses power. If we explain the meaning of the letter branches, Śrī is Adama Śrī and Para Śrī, which are explained as the splendor of oneself and others. He is called Heru, meaning cause, and Heka means joy. The meaning of space is explained as realizing without any inversion. Ru is raga, meaning attachment, and Ruruṭra means wrath, so it is explained as showing wrath with great compassion from such a state. Ka is karma, meaning action, and karuṇā means compassion, so it is connected by saying that those wrathful actions are also equally harmonized with compassion. Thus, having the meaning of four letters and eight sounds is called Heruka. This is what is said to be known from some texts. Furthermore, He, the object to be grasped, is unborn. Ru, the grasping mind is non-conceptual. Ka, object and mind are non-dual, and it is also explained as the Dharmakāya. He, loving-kindness. Ru, compassion. Ka, joy and equanimity, and it is also explained as having the four immeasurables. In other texts it says: He Heru Ru Ka, destroying all the wicked with a fierce horse sound, and making the mandala of one's own retinue rejoice. In other texts it says: He is Hetu, meaning cause. Ru is Rudra, meaning arising, referring to the aggregation of conditions. Ka refers to anything. The basis of these letters is A, which is the door of the unborn, any dharma that is separate from cause, separate from aggregation, and does not abide anywhere, its meaning is called Heruka. In other texts it says: Śrī is fortune, the lord of consorts. Heruka is the great bliss bodhicitta, and is called Heruka abiding in Śrī. The peerless teacher Vajra, separating the six letters with the sound of A, explained it as the sound of realizing the unborn nature of phenomena. Although many sounds are explained in various texts, the previous Khenpos explained the similar sound as blood-drinking. What is called Mahācaṇḍa is the great wrathful one. What is called Sarva duṣṭān are all the wicked ones, those who have become the fierce objects of subjugation. What is called Taka or Anataka is the destroyer or the terminator. What is called Hana Daha Paca is strike, burn, cut. Hūṃ is prostration and mantra blessing.
