May all you virtuous and wise ones, endowed with the eye of wisdom, rely on it well! This is the true advice. Later, the inscription that the Lord himself reviewed was: This "Lamp of Certainty" was written in one sitting when I was very young and still a novice student, arising spontaneously in my mind. However, since there are no contradictions in the meaning and there are important points to understand, I left it as it was without modification. This was said by Mipham at the age of fifty-seven, may it be auspicious! Thus, without emphasizing the arrangement of words, I have relied on the meaning. This is the implication of advising not to rely on words but to rely on meaning, not to rely on the person but to rely on the Dharma, and in meaning, not to rely on provisional meaning but to rely on definitive meaning, and in definitive meaning, not to rely on the objects of consciousness but to rely on the objects of wisdom. This teaching is a complete instruction that all scholars should cherish in their hearts and hold as a vow. Again, I say: The wondrous and profound gate of definitive meaning, Guided well by the infallible scriptures and reasoning, This supreme light of the jewel of certainty, Like the dawn of wisdom in the minds of the wise. The key points of scriptures, tantras, and philosophical tenets, A hundred kinds of debates caught in the net of doubt, Cutting through them with the unprecedented, well-spoken, dark blue sword, This is the activity of Manjushri Vajra. Therefore, even if my innate and acquired intelligence is weak, I, as a fortunate one who draws the essence of the profound, secret, and supreme meaning Into the garden of my mind, Attempt to enter with a heart full of joy. Even so, the door of the light of intelligence, The definitive understanding, the meaning seen by the noble ones, And the drawings of words from the thoughts of ordinary beings, Who would choose gold and copper equally? However, relying on the words of the holy ones, the scriptures of valid cognition, After carefully examining them with an impartial mind, I speak, like extracting musk from the body of a deer, I wonder if it is free from being stained by the impurities of mental defects. Here, you who are endowed with the wealth of leisure and fortune, Wise ones who have the opportunity to encounter the stainless teachings of the Victorious Ones, Do not mistake the ultimate aspiration, the holy path, Enter into it through hearing, contemplation, and meditation! This principle, based on the good words of the great Abbot, Relying on it, understand its meaning as it is.

Even if there are any shortcomings, I confess to the three root deities and those with the Dharma eye for any errors caused by an uncomprehending childish mind. Representing this, may all the accumulated merits of the three times be dedicated to the precious teachings of the omniscient Victorious Ones, and may it spread in all directions and flourish through the power of the three wheels of explanation and practice. Through its power, may all sentient beings pervading the sky find supreme certainty on this profound path, enjoy the rain of nectar medicine of the three vehicles, and become exceedingly beautiful with the attainment of the two benefits. May I, from now until the attainment of supreme enlightenment, never be separated from this excellent explanation, and may I attain the union of quiescence and insight, entering into all the profound and vast Sutra and Tantra teachings without exception. May those who are connected with this (excellent explanation) be blessed and cared for by Manjushri himself, be long-lived and free from illness, see the excellent path of the essence of definitive meaning, and uphold, propagate, and spread it in all directions and times. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the sky-pervading realms, and the truth of the vast ocean of the three roots, bring about the fulfillment of all wishes, and bestow auspiciousness and goodness in all directions and times. This was written by the reincarnation Tubten Khenchen Lodrö, who holds this treatise in his heart and diligently practices it as its essence. He vowed to practice yoga for twelve months, and with the merits of good deeds such as the seven methods of ransom for certain death, as well as other auspicious objects, flowers of the second precious kind, with wonderful auspicious signs, and the number of sheets of Shar Gyalmorong paper that he urgently needed, he repeatedly urged me from the depths of his heart with earnest words, which I could not refuse. Therefore, I, who have the good fortune to touch the feet of the sole protector, the Chakravartin, the lord of the non-sectarian teachings, the Kathok Maha Pandita, the 7th Jamyang Tai Situ Rinpoche, who has attained the high position of a wise and accomplished being, and the uncontested Vidyadhara, the great treasure of wisdom, compassion, and power, the protector who is meaningful to all connected, the 7th Drubwang Jampa Chökyi Gyaltsen Rinpoche, who has attained mastery over the ten powers, with my head touching their feet.
