May I, without experiencing suffering or practicing the hardships of body, speech, and mind, swiftly attain ultimate Buddhahood with a body superior to that of gods! May all sentient beings repeatedly make offerings to all Buddhas, and may they always be endowed with the bliss of the immeasurable happiness of the Buddhas! Secondly, may Bodhisattvas accomplish the welfare of beings as they intend in their hearts! May sentient beings also attain that, just as the Protector Buddhas intend! Likewise, may the solitary Buddhas and Hearers also be endowed with the bliss of Nirvana! Secondly, may I, through the kindness of Manjushri, until I attain the Joyful Ground, always remember my past lives and attain ordination! This (aspiration) is spoken for the sake of guiding those to be trained to make such aspirations, but this does not prove that the teacher is an ordinary being, just as one without faults speaks of confession. In the commentaries, it is also said, "The noble Shantideva," and that he is one who has attained supreme accomplishment. Thus it is said. May I be able to sustain my body and live even with just a little coarse food! May I attain a perfect solitary place in all my lifetimes! Whenever I wish to behold or ask a question, may the Protector Manjushri himself appear without any obstacles! For the sake of accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings throughout the ten directions and the extent of space, may my conduct be the same as the conduct of Manjushri! As long as space exists, and as long as beings exist, may I also remain to dispel the suffering of beings! Whatever suffering beings have, may it ripen upon me! Through the power of the Bodhisattva Sangha, may all beings enjoy happiness! Thirdly, may the sole medicine that cures the disease of beings' suffering, the source of all temporary and ultimate happiness, the Buddha's teachings, be attained, honored, and abide for a long time! I prostrate to the virtuous spiritual friends who cause the virtuous side to flourish and increase! This is prostration through remembering their kindness. The tenth chapter is finished. The path traveled by all Buddhas of the three times, is the practice of the six perfections of a Bodhisattva. By the virtue of explaining this well-spoken treatise, may all beings enter the practice of enlightenment. May beings in the lower realms be liberated from unbearable suffering, find the path to liberation, perfect the two accumulations, and quickly enter the city of Nirvana. May beings in happy realms not decline from the glory of happiness, realize that the happiness of samsara has no essence, and enjoy the glory of uncontaminated bliss that pacifies the proliferation of grasping and the grasped. May the teachings of the Sage, which have a hundred lights, which eliminate all darkness, and cause the lotus garden of benefit and happiness to flourish, remain long in this world, by the power that brings forth all suffering. May the excellent spiritual friends who hold the treasure of the three trainings, and who perfectly possess wisdom, compassion, and skillful means, well protect the teachings of the Sugata and all beings, have long lives. May those who have entered well into the teachings of the Sugata be freed from the bonds of laziness and distraction, and by abiding in discipline, listening, thinking, and meditating, may they always engage their three doors in meaningful activities. May the gods send down rain from the sky in due season, and may the great earth be adorned with ripe grains and beautiful trees. May beings be very happy, have love for each other, and always engage in the ten virtues. From now until I attain enlightenment, may I never be attached to the happiness of samsara, nor seek liberation for myself, but always strive to benefit beings. May all those who have attachment and hatred, praise and blame, benefit and harm towards me, and all those who see, hear, and remember me in any way, quickly attain supreme enlightenment. In the mirror of the deep, peaceful, boundless, and free from elaboration, From the state of dependent origination arising, Without distinguishing between the knower and the known, The great miracle of the wheel of wisdom moves freely. 2. With a new and wonderful tapestry of biographies, Covering all of existence and peace, a marvel, Together with the inexhaustible wisdom of Shantideva, Whose fame is high among millions of bodhisattvas. 3. That protector, the key to unlocking the treasury of the Tripitaka, The wish-fulfilling king of power, possessing both taming and protection, In the profound realm of bodhisattva conduct, This supreme path of the Great Vehicle arises as a way to enter. 4. In the presence of many Indian and Tibetan scholars, in circles of teaching and learning, Upon spreading precious commentaries like carpets, With few words clarifying vast meanings, This is what was bestowed by the feet of the bodhisattva Asanga. 5. In this excellent text, famous like the sun and moon, Complete and without error, the path to omniscience, The six perfections led by aspiration and engagement bodhicitta, Are gathered into the meaning of dedicating all actions. 6. Therefore, with the sunlight of the supreme instructions, The wide lotus petals of Sakya, protected by the earth, Like the king of mountains of the aspirations of Dharmadhatu Samantabhadri, With the glory of excellence, she creates a model of Dharma giving. 7. A marvel that manifests many from one, A single birth that benefits the teachings and all beings, The tradition of the successive Brahma powers of Derge, Is made to flourish again, never to fade. 8. Whatever virtuous roots arise from the cause of the pure one, And whatever good roots exist for oneself and others, The supreme dedication that flows into great enlightenment, May it be accomplished as wished by the victorious ones and their children. 9.
