Having placed it on an object with a swastika symbol, bestow increased life and power. Give life-substance. If there is a wheel, then wear the deity's turquoise around the neck. In the manner of a libation, partake in the joyous feast of the tsokhor. The bla-kang and bla-nas, having been examined for signs, are eaten by the practitioner himself. The bla-tags and bla-lug are placed in a place where harm from mice and the like will not occur. May the bla-glung flourish. Atha. The third of the root, examining the signs, also includes: First, examining the bla-kang; second, examining the barley; third, examining dreams. Among these three, the first is: Open the seal of the bla-kang and look carefully. That is, examining the outer bone, examining the inner serum, and examining the secret odor, these three. First, bones that are oily and coiled, smooth and heavy, are good. Clean and porous, rough and red, light and small are bad. In particular, if the limbs are crooked, with yellow spots or hair patterns, it is bad; if they do not appear, it is supremely good. Second, examining the inner serum. If the serum duct is located at the top, it is good; if it appears at the bottom, it is bad; if it appears in the middle, it is middling. Examine the color in detail as well. If the serum is red, it is good; if it is yellow, it is middling; if it is black, it is bad. Third, examining the secret odor. Oily odor, fatty odor, medicinal odor, if a good odor arises, it is good. Disease odor, corpse odor, rotting odor, if a bad odor arises, it is bad, so examine carefully. Second, examining the barley grains. If there is more barley placed inside the bla-kang than before, it is good; if there is less, it is bad; if it remains in its place, it is middling, so there is no problem. The color is also its original color. White, yellow, etc., are good, and black is said to be bad. Third, examining dreams. In the dream of oneself or the patron, dreaming of wearing turquoise, wearing new clothes, and dreaming of vajras, conches, and swastika symbols, etc., is supremely good. If all of these appear as good signs, it is supremely excellent. If half is good and half is bad, it is middling, so it is permissible not to repeat. If there are many bad signs, it should be repeated three times. If the signs are good, the bla-turquoise should be worn on the body without separation, and the flesh of the bla-kang that has not decayed should be eaten by the practitioner, and a libation should be made with tsampa.

Like a mountain king with a complete Dharma-filled life, the Lama is the very vajra pillar of life and lifespan. May this become an unchanging and stable foundation, and may all who connect with it be liberated from the fear of death. Thus, although it is distributed like salty food to all, high and low, it is seen that practicing in accordance with the scriptures is rare. Since the root text itself appears to have an unbroken lineage, it is embellished with explanations with the intention of benefiting others while preserving the original form.
