And protect the sacred Tibetan land, the abode of humans, The lord of the foundation upon which existence is built. Here in this hidden place, including the Five Treasuries and Tiger Peak, And the four great caves of Central's Tashi Ding, The guardians of the four doors, four paths, and four barriers, And the eight spirit lakes of the eight practice communities, and so on, In the gardens of snow mountains, rocks, mountains, lakes, and forests, The assembled local, indigenous, and transient earth-lords, Accept these secret offerings with joy and accomplish our desires. Pacify harm and cruelty, and engage in Dharma. Protect the Dharma king and his subjects, striving for all that is desired. May epidemics, famine, strife, root rot, frost, and hail, Be completely pacified, and may you protect us with glory and prosperity. Hūṃ. Invite the Lhatsen and Gewen Rabbar to come here, Whose bodies are the color of radiant ruby, With a staff in the right hand and a commanding gesture in the left, Do not be negligent in guarding this place. Especially protect the Dharma wheel of explanation and practice. Accept this offering that fulfills all needs, And guard the sacred word, never transgressing. The demon king, the thunderbolt-wielding blood drinker, Whose color is dark brown, hair oily, and fierce radiance blazing, With a sword in the right hand and a snake lasso in the left, Do not neglect the vows of the past command. Protect the assembly of students who hold the lineage of explanation and practice, And for you, the raw flesh and blood that you desire, We will satisfy you with the five desirable objects, So in all the tasks I entrust to you, in the six times, Without negligence, be a helper to me. Hūṃ. Rejoice and enjoy, and for this victorious Dharma, May the activities of the great beings who hold the teachings increase, May the Sangha be harmonious and engage in the ten virtues. Protect all beings from immediate and long-term fears. Do not neglect the tasks entrusted to you, And at the appointed time, offer whatever feast is pleasing. If you delay in actions that accord with the Dharma, Yourself will become a blood drinker.

Standing in a fierce posture. With the self-nature that subdues the three realms, and with the unbreakable vows of body, speech, and mind, subdue. Practicing virtue and possessing a compassionate heart, without懈怠the entrusted activities, abide in your own place or the object of focus. Come again to enjoy the offerings of the season. May all ten virtuous paths increase. May the signs of perfect auspiciousness blaze! This was written in connection with the descent of the holy place at Rumtek Pal Karmapa's Dharma Camp Shedrub Chokhor Gang, when the new support for the twelve guardians of Tibet, such as the twelve Tanma, and all the local deities of the snowy land, was created to unite them, as requested by Khyentse Rinpoche Jigme Khyentse Özer, the elucidator of the early teachings, by Karmapa Rigpe Dorje on the auspicious day of the waxing moon of the earth month.
