Lineage Supplication of Valid Cognition. With compassion wishing to benefit all beings, From manifesting the means to realize the four truths, Having diligently meditated for three countless eons, I supplicate the Victorious One, the protector who has been attained. Inconceivable, the great treasure of wisdom, Manjushri, I supplicate the lotus feet that tame and protect, victorious over the enemy of afflictions. The eldest son, Panchen Me Wang, and others, I supplicate the learned and supreme master Dignaga. Destroying the city of reeds of opposing factions, Dignaga, I supplicate the powerful host who holds the tradition of wonderful explanations. Proclaiming the sound of the seven treatises of Dharma, the famous one, I supplicate the gods, Power of the Gods, and Intelligence. Holding the lineage of Shakya, Good Intelligence, Outstanding wisdom, the source of wisdom, Great Intelligence, Destroying the forces of the Lord of Death and Mara, Yamashri (Tibetan: ཡཱ་མ་ཤྲཱི, Sanskrit Devanagari: यमश्री, Sanskrit Romanization: yamaśrī, Literal meaning: Yama Auspicious), I supplicate the seven royal banners. After examining well, understanding the realization of selflessness as the antidote, please grant blessings to cultivate with two kinds of diligence. Through the power of perfecting the excellent path, possessing three special realizations, the three special abandonments manifest, please grant blessings to attain the state of Sugata. According to how you have seen the three vehicles, excellently teaching the unerring good path to others, until the ocean of samsara is empty, please grant blessings to become the protector of beings. With the clear sunlight of accomplishment and refutation, dispelling all the darkness of other doctrines' wrong speech, causing the lotus of true meaning to bloom, please grant blessings to protect the bees seeking meaning. In this way, in the lineage of reasoning, may faith, merit, physical strength increase, may all wrong views and misconceptions be dispelled, composed by the lion who speaks the holy Dharma. This, composed in the month of great miracles in the year of the Water Ox, is completely finished. Whoever, with faith, constantly prays to the assembly of gurus with these words, in their continuum, the light of the true intelligence of those supreme speakers will arise. May it be virtuous!
