It transforms into the self-nature of the moment, and the appearance transforms into the self-nature of the moment, so that his body also transforms into the self-nature of the moment that is in accordance with it. That is, the appearance of the mind is blessed, and the mind and its appearance bless his body, and such a person blesses his own and others' places, making them completely pure Buddha-fields, and is able to attain freedom from all attachments and obstacles in blessing the maturation and liberation of the beings to be tamed. It is believed that if the mind attains freedom, by the power of the mind, his appearance and body, etc., all the dharmas gathered by his own continuum will attain freedom, and merely by the transformation of the mind, the accomplishment of exhaustion, suppression, miraculous powers, etc., will be effortless. As it is said: When performing the nectar method mudra, as a symbol of the merging of body, appearance, and mind into one, the emanations of the body emanate countless in an instant. I prostrate and praise you, the supreme guide, the king. As it is said. Again, someone said that sometimes they would forget the morning greetings and naturally enter into meditative equipoise. The venerable one said, "Oh, that is undesirable knowledge. In the past, many people have been deceived by it. Such a person can at most become the cause of an old deity. Now it seems that they are practicing well, but tomorrow or the day after tomorrow they will disappear." The meaning of what was said is that, in general, the samatha concentration is not that it is not a true concentration, but that if one is merely satisfied with it and regards it as the state of liberation, one will deviate from the path of liberation. From beginningless time, when we took birth in the past as non-Buddhists, etc., we practiced the samatha of the cause of the upper realms in this space of the sky, without exception, but we still did not transcend samsara. Relying on such worldly samatha, in order to attain liberation, we practiced transcendent samatha. That is, the original nature of the mind, the emptiness that is empty of elaboration and obscuration, is combined with the vipassana of the self-awareness wisdom that directly realizes it, and practiced in view and meditation, thereby attaining the state of great enlightenment that does not abide in either existence or peace. That is, Lord Gampopa himself was initially a Kadampa.

When listening to the instructions from the Lamas and practicing them, one was able to maintain the focus on the object of Samadhi to the extent that one put effort into it. It wasn't just a matter of dozing off; it seemed to go on continuously. When observing how long it would last, it continued uninterrupted for about thirteen days. Later, things went bad; it seemed like it was due to the exhaustion of the channels. All the afflictions overwhelmed, so that one couldn't recognize anything. As it was said, the bliss of Samadhi stole the mind, so that the five objects of desire didn't arise in the mind, but in the end, one couldn't be satisfied with that. Therefore, it became necessary to consult the great Jetsun Milarepa. If it is acceptable to nominally establish a self-aware wisdom that knows itself through that very ordinary consciousness, then haven't many Madhyamaka treatises stated that even nominally, there cannot be a consciousness that knows itself? If it is said that the non-harming, the very consciousness knowing itself, is the way of self-knowing that acts upon itself, then even nominally, such self-knowing cannot be established. But here, the main point is that the wisdom of mental factors arising as the retinue of the mind cuts off the imputation and slander on the place of the main mind and its retinue of mental factors, and thus it is possible to realize, know, and understand it. Similarly, by the wisdom of the innate ordinary consciousness, through the practice of conceptual and non-conceptual activity, one comprehends and recognizes the nature of the innate ordinary consciousness, and having made that the basis, cuts off imputation and slander, and thus, by that very consciousness, one gains mastery over the knowledge and understanding of all other knowable phenomena. Therefore, even for the innate ordinary consciousness, nominally there exist the main mind and the different mental factors that arise as its retinue. Therefore, one should learn to comprehend its state. 104
