The way of falling into the four flaws mentioned above is written as told by some venerable Kagyupas after fulfilling the intention of Lord Gampopa. The actual words spoken by Lord Mila to Lord Gampopa are as follows: Falling into emptiness as proliferation means saying that all phenomena that become objects of grasping and clinging minds are meditated upon as empty. Falling into emptiness as the nature of knowables means saying that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are essentially empty. Falling into emptiness as an antidote means looking at whatever afflictions and thoughts arise and saying that they are empty. Falling into emptiness as attachment means saying that I have nothing to meditate on, and all meditation is emptiness. All of these are not the correct path. However, they can only be helpful for beginners in reversing their clinging to reality. In general, if the root of the mind is not determined, then the experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought are experiences that have not overcome the root of the three realms. So, what is the correct path? When a qualified lama guides a qualified disciple with an introduction, the nature of innate awareness that exists in all sentient beings manifests as the vision of the Dharmakaya in the Buddha. By introducing it to the yogi through countless methods and meditating on it, the view is naturally realized, afflictions are naturally stopped, thoughts are naturally dissolved, wisdom is manifested, and the nature of reality is experienced. Such an experience cannot be expressed in words, and even if it is spoken, it is only a partial description and cannot fully determine or express its meaning. For example, like the pleasure of a young girl or the dream of a mute person, the ground (gzhi) exists in all sentient beings, but it is not recognized. Therefore, it is very important to rely on a lama with lineage. That innate awareness or ordinary awareness should not be indulged anywhere, nor should it be stopped anywhere. It cannot be described by any example, it cannot be reached by any words, it cannot be understood by any terms, so do not fabricate it, but leave it in its natural, relaxed state. The meaning of what was said is that proliferation is that all phenomena are empty, for example, when contemplating the meaning of the mantra of śūnyatā (Tibetan: སྟོང་པ་ཉིད།,Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता,Sanskrit Romanization: shunyata, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness), or when dissolving the deity after generating it, proliferating in the form of luminous emptiness, or analyzing all phenomena with reasoning such as oneness and otherness being separate.
