It is not the conventional truth, but the conventional truth that appears as if something that should not be established by its own nature is established as the truth of things, should be established as emptiness. All the famous Tibetan and Chinese scholars who have not distinguished between these two have deviated from the intention of Nagarjuna. Therefore, if one claims to understand the establishment of dependent origination as emptiness, one will fall into the nihilistic view of abandoning the Dharma by slandering the law of cause and effect, which will lead to rebirth in the Avici hell. As it is said, it will also be easy to understand that it is contrary to the definitive teachings of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. From the shepherd to the omniscient, for the Dharma known as the two truths, the things that function dependently are established as the conventional truth as false Dharmas like unreal illusions that do not appear to be true as they are. Ordinary people grasp this conventional truth as true, and the noble ones do not see it as true, but only see it as conventional. Apart from that, like the son of a barren woman, like Devas Gift, it is false and untrue, but it appears to be true, like a rabbit's horn in the hand, a rosary made of teeth, it is false and untrue, but it appears to be true, for such appearances, whether ordinary or holy, in the experience of the appearance of objects of confusion and non-confusion, it is not known that this is the conventional truth. Therefore, even if one realizes the emptiness free from elaboration of this kind of conventional truth, one will not be able to dispel the obscuration of clinging to the elaboration of the conventional truth of real things. The view and meditation on emptiness taught by Tsongkhapa and his sons with many profound differences is of no use to those who seek liberation, let alone give rise to desires like dreams? All the great masters of the Kagyu school said this in unison. So, if mind and concepts etc. are taken as the subject, in order to establish them as emptiness that is not established as true by other Dharmas, then on the subject mind and concepts, the reason for establishing emptiness must also be established. If mind and concepts are not established, then the subject is not established.

If one thinks that even that cannot be established, then, it seems that such dialogues have occurred before among the disciples of the noble Nāgārjuna, such as the teachers Bhāviveka, Candrakīrti, and Śāntarakṣita. This necessity is also especially because the teacher Śāntarakṣita believes that phenomena such as the mind exist conventionally, so there is no fault of the subject not being established; and that it is not established ultimately, establishing emptiness, so there is no fault of the probandum not being established; merely conventionally the subject is established, so on top of that, the sign that establishes in that way, and the pervasion of the sign establishing the probandum, on the examples of similar and dissimilar classes, it is possible to show merely conventionally, thus he advised his followers. But the teachers Bhāviveka and Candrakīrti think: these phenomena that appear outwardly and inwardly like mind and concepts, even if they are not established in the two truths, but in the face of conceiving and grasping them as being established in that way, because the subject etc. is grasped, if that is not emptiness, then, the existent or non-existent phenomena that you yourself consider to be established in the two truths, being established in this way, the way of being established being spoken, that itself will harm the existent phenomena that are established as non-empty. In short, all those phenomena that are clung to as being established in the two truths, because the two truths themselves are empty, therefore, for the side of whoever says it is not empty, the reason and logic cannot be established. Therefore, for all those who hold that side, there is no opportunity to prevail over benefiting. If one speaks like that, it is denying the valid worldly convention, because grasping the non-existent as existent, therefore, clinging to it in that way by conceptualization is a conceptualizer, even if one approves with intelligence in that way, in reality it cannot be established. Therefore, even if the subject etc. is not established conventionally, there, merely grasping the subject in the face of that conceptualization, merely through that, establishing that phenomenon as emptiness, it is possible to place the subject etc. in front of the refuter. In order to refute the subject, no matter who the refuter is, there is no basis for arguing whether or not it needs to be established in the two truths, because the mind is not established there, merely grasping the phenomena such as the mind etc. in the face of his own conceptualization, merely through that, his necessity is easily accomplished, thus it was said. Two ways of abandoning such necessity have appeared.

It is due to ego that the distinction between Prasangika and Svatantrika Madhyamaka arises. Therefore, for this very key point, on the basis or support of conventional truth, which is the three aggregates on the side of existence of real and unreal and the three aggregates on the side of non-existence, if we eliminate the false imputations of error, we cannot manifest the Dharmakaya free from error. Because such a dharma appears as a real dharma even in mere designation, thereby generating the phenomena of elaboration that obscures the Dharmakaya free from elaboration, therefore, eliminating the elaboration of such phenomena of elaboration does not serve as a basis for seeing the self-nature of the Dharmakaya. Therefore, if all elaborations and obscurations are cut off on the mind and conceptual thought that experience as if appearing as imputed, then elaborations and obscurations will be cut off on all appearances and imputed expressions of its object, therefore, regarding the Dharma principle of "conceptual thought is the Dharmakaya" and "appearance is one's own mind," the Kagyu lineage greatly values this and considers it the supreme Dharma, therefore, fortunate individuals should strive to understand this Dharma principle to the best of their ability, to practice it to the middle extent, and even to practice it as much as possible with just the wisdom of understanding to the lowest extent. 65
