The Second Immaculate Generation of Bodhicitta. The Second Immaculate Generation of Bodhicitta. In this doctrine, some impartial and wise individuals, just as the established conclusions of thorough analysis, are indeed experienced through the realization of accomplished masters. How can one speak if one attempts to express the inexpressible? Secondly, to show the nature of the ground through the purity of ethics, and incidentally to explain the praise of ethics, and to conclude by stating the definition, ripening, and qualities of the ground. First, the actual and detailed explanation of how ethics are completely pure. First: Because it is endowed with the perfection of qualities, it abandons even in dreams the defilement of immoral conduct. The term "ground" refers to the essence of wisdom, and although its self-nature cannot be distinguished, its nature is one. However, due to the excellence of the perfection of ethics, the differences between the second ground and others are clearly distinguished. The bodhisattva residing there abandons even in dreams the defilement of immoral conduct, because he possesses the qualities of the perfection of ethics of his own ground. Moreover, the word "again" implies that there is no need to mention the time of awakening. The definition of ethics is that it does not accept afflictions, nor does it accumulate the sinful results thereof. It is the cause of peace and happiness, and therefore it is to be relied upon by the noble ones. Its essence is the ten virtuous paths of action, including the three mental virtues of abandoning the seven things to be abandoned. Secondly, the reason for purification by abandoning non-virtue, and the reason for purifying ethics with wisdom. First, the reason for purification by abandoning the ten non-virtues, the reason for purification by the first ground, and the reason for purification through examples. First: Because the activities of body, speech, and mind have become pure, one accumulates all ten paths of noble action. This bodhisattva of the second ground also accumulates all ten paths of noble action spontaneously, because the activities of body, speech, and mind have become pure, and therefore free from inappropriate defilements. (57b) Second: These virtuous paths, all ten of them, are extremely purified by being increased upon it. Why is it that these paths are not accumulated by the first generation of bodhichitta? Although they are accumulated, for the bodhisattva residing on this ground, compared to the one on the first ground, these ten virtuous paths are extremely purified by being increased upon it, because they are constantly uninterrupted and primarily practiced.

For. Third, like the autumn moon, constantly pure, adorned with serene light, the bodhisattva who constantly performs virtuous deeds with a carefree demeanor, is serene by subduing the senses, bright and radiant, the splendor of those bodhisattvas is adorned, like the light of the autumn moon. Second, if one views it as an object, the precepts are not pure. It shows that the bodhisattva's precepts are free from clinging to reality. First, if he sees it as the nature of pure precepts, therefore he will not become pure precepts. If a person who is pure in precepts sees himself as having the nature of pure precepts, therefore, that person will not become a person of pure precepts. Second, therefore, he is always completely separated from the three, and also from the activity of dualistic grasping. Is that bodhisattva the reason for pure precepts? Or, for whom, and what, and the three wheels of abandonment by what, are also always completely separated from the activity of dualistic grasping such as things and non-things. As it is said: For whom there is no thought of self, no thought of sentient beings, for one who is free from desire, how can there be discipline and non-discipline? For whom there is no arrogance of discipline and non-discipline, this is what the Blessed One said as pure discipline. Because of this. Second, in general, praise of precepts, and in particular praise of the precepts of bodhisattvas, and showing the distinction between worldly and transcendental (58a). First, there are two: the faults of breaking precepts, and the display of the merits of precepts. First, the fruit of generosity is incomplete, and one cannot be liberated from the lower realms. First, falling into the lower realms, and the fruit of generosity being incomplete are real. First, even if one enjoys through generosity, in the lower realms, beings will occur to those whose feet of precepts are broken. Precepts are greater than the fruit of generosity, and are shown as the basis of merit, because if the giver is endowed with precepts, then perfect enjoyment will arise among gods and humans, and conversely, even if one gives, if one does not have precepts, even in the lower realms, the wealth of enjoyment of beings such as dragons will occur to those whose feet of precepts are broken. The second is
