Jamyang Gonkar Tenpa Gyaltsen's Teachings JTG14: 'Bestowing the Glory of Fulfilling All Desires' 'Bestowing the Glory of Fulfilling All Desires' Bestowing the Glory of Fulfilling All Desires. I prostrate to the Lama and Yidam, I take refuge! Please grant your blessings! Hūṃ! Although you have attained the glorious state of the Victorious Ones, embodying the Three Kayas (three bodies of Buddha) as your own perception, you appear to the sight of those to be tamed as supreme spiritual friends. Acting for the benefit of beings in an ordinary manner, I supplicate to the glorious protector Lamas. Although unwavering from the Dharmakaya (body of truth), with immeasurable manifestations of peaceful, attached, and wrathful forms, you completely fulfill the hopes of various beings to be tamed, may the Yidam deities bestow their blessings. The refuge of all beings, including gods, possessing an inconceivable collection of qualities, and purifying all karmic obscurations upon merely hearing your name, may the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) grant auspiciousness and goodness. Although your mind never deviates from the state of peace, in order to tame the cruel and violent beings, you assume the form of a wrathful, blood-drinking Rakshasa (demon), I make offerings to the oath-bound Dharma protectors. From the Akaniṣṭha (highest pure land), from the wisdom of the Victorious Ones, manifesting as kings and humans, and as the wrathful form of the Buddha's sons, the glorious and powerful Mahākāla, until enlightenment, I rely on you for refuge. Together with the great goddess, the sovereign of space, may the yogi (practitioner) pacify all elaborations, realize the nature of reality, and with impartial compassion, continuously assist in the benefit of beings. From the play of your wisdom arises, the Karma Lord, father and mother, together with their retinue, may you increase and expand the wisdom light of my, the practitioner's, experience and realization. Holding the treasury of the secret assembly teachings, the field-protecting four-faced great sovereign and his retinue, may I truly realize the excellent system of Nāgārjuna (a famous Indian philosopher), the key point of the union of the two truths (relative and absolute), and thereby benefit the teachings. The protector of the body, mounted on a tiger, together with his retinue, according to the command of the Vajra Heart Lama, for the yogi's accomplishment of enlightenment, may you tirelessly protect, guard, and secretly accomplish the activities. The lord of the charnel ground Dakinis (female deities), together with his retinue, may all the suffering of deluded existence be purified, and may I continuously experience the joy of indulging in the Samadhi (meditative absorption) of supreme, uncontaminated bliss. Whatever ignorance or faults I have, I confess, may Machig Labdrön (a famous Tibetan female saint) and her retinue, protect me with loving kindness like a mother, and pacify the hostility of the Mamo (a class of wrathful female deities) and Dakinis. O, Kubera (God of Wealth), the master of treasures and the lord of wealth! Grant me a joyous feast of all necessities. O, Li Jin Hara (a Tibetan guardian deity), the arrogant leader, and the great Yaksha ministers, without wavering from the state of equanimity, Grant me the accomplishment of knowing arts and protecting. The lineage gurus are like the real Buddhas, and I, as a yogi, also respectfully rely on and follow the instructions of the guardians. I pray that you protect me day and night. Never wavering from the state of non-duality, in order to subdue the delusion of dualistic appearances, those who manifest as guardians out of compassion, I pray that you become the executioners who destroy the enemies of the teachings. Due to the times, those who uphold their vows are few, and all that is contrary to the hearts of the ocean of guardians, when confessing shortcomings and asking for forgiveness, I pray that you manifest as the embodiment of Vajrasattva. Without abiding by the law with good intentions, for those who slander the authority of the Three Jewels in this land, inflicting appropriate punishments, etc., I pray that you become the master of the ten virtues. For me and all that is related to me, for those who harbor evil thoughts and are untamed, able to place the cruel ones in the realm of Dharma, I pray that you display the power of compassion. If obstacles arise, please protect and save, if impoverished, please grant the glory of all desires, and quickly accomplish whatever is needed, I pray that you become a trustworthy and loving friend. In the secluded and delightful garden of the gods, With compassion focusing on mother-like beings, when training the mind in the precious Bodhicitta, I pray that you become the guiding spiritual friend. According to the instructions of the lineage guru, when entering the practice of the two stages of meditation, quickly generating the signs of warmth and qualities, I pray that you become the one who removes obstacles and enhances assistance. Respecting the guru and the Three Jewels as the lords of the lineage, holding the precious Dharma as the treasure of the heart, when blazing with enthusiasm for the teachings and beings, I pray that you accompany me like a shadow. Seeing the external illusions as unreal and illusory, perceiving the inner Dharmakaya with the eye of wisdom, in the pure realms of the future path, I pray that you become the guiding helmsman. Knowing the Three Jewels and the guru as one's own mind, abiding in the state of awareness and emptiness of mind itself, the Dharma protectors who possess the power of activity, I pray that you manifest as the embodiment of the venerable guru.
