As before, until the hair stands on end and the blood flows out, repeat the prayers again and again, and perform sprinkling. When the unfeigned signs appear, as before, without distraction, recite the name of Amitabha Buddha as much as possible. The prayer is as follows: Emaho! Excellent Bhikshu of the past kalpas! By the glorious Prince Dharmakara, in the presence of the Lord Lokeshvara, having vowed to liberate all beings, abiding as the support in the Western Sukhavati Pure Land. The fruit of the aspiration of the mind that empowers, the Lord Amitayus, together with the retinue, appears as the glory of those who have not gone to suffering. I pray to you, treasure of knowledge and compassion. When this life passes from appearance, may the deceased be liberated from the fear of samsara. In the Western Sukhavati, the lotus-adorned pure land, in this moment, may you guide with your compassion. If controlled by karma and afflictions, where is your vow, O Lord? If you do not prevent falling into the lower realms, then, O Lord, saying that your compassion is great is just words. Please listen to this heartfelt prayer, and guide the deceased to the Western Sukhavati Pure Land. Refuge, the infallible Lord Amitabha, the treasure of compassion, Avalokiteshvara, the master of power, Vajrapani, and the thousand princes who guide. For the deceased who has entered the path of the future life, Amitabha, as the good friend and guide, please send them to the ranks of the retinue of Bodhisattvas. The light point of the mind, white, red, and radiant, like a shooting star across the sky, dissolves into the heart of the immortal Lord, becoming the irreversible seal of the five bodies. After saying this, recite five times ཕཊཿ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: phaṭ, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: phew!), cutting off the stream of all distracting thoughts, and then say this again. Alas! The aggregates and elements of the deceased, clearly visualized as deities, into the body, speech, and mind of the Lord Amitabha, like a rainbow dissolving into the sky, merge into the undifferentiated one taste of Dharmadhatu. Thus recite. Visualize the body of the deceased as a yogini, dissolving into the deity of the refuge like a rainbow dissolving into the sky. That itself also transforms into a mass of light, in the self-appearing Sambhogakaya realm, inseparable from the Bhagavan, the unchanging Victor.

Contemplate the transformation and recite PHAṬ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), recite three times, and believe that you attain enlightenment in the unborn Dharmakaya, the unceasing Sambhogakaya, and the effortless Nirmanakaya. Abide in a state free from objects, thoughts, and elaborations, and when arising from that state, with great love and compassion, make this aspiration. Pages 30 to 33 are missing. Made by the sprout of the Victorious One, the god of compassion and wisdom. By the blessings of attaining the three bodies of the Buddha, and by this merit, may all see (etc.). By this virtue, may all beings, merit and wisdom (etc.). May all beings have as much virtue as there is (etc.). Manjushri the Hero (etc.). Thus, it should be done. Auspiciousness! The aspiration is as follows: Wherever I am born (etc.). May I quickly attain Buddhahood. Thus, and also recite as many aspirations as possible. Here it is said: The supreme teacher, the King Shakya, his followers, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and the Bodhisattva assembly, the outer three yogas and the inner three yogas of Secret Mantra, all of them are the pinnacle of the cause and effect vehicles. The supreme path of the five dharmas of becoming a Buddha without meditation, the Dharma of liberation with a single, extraordinary instant. Becoming a Buddha without meditation is the supreme path of transference of consciousness. Hesitating even slightly on this path will block the path to liberation. Why? Because in the swift path of mantra, those who are doubtful are certain to be born in the Vajra Hell. This is established by the valid teachings of mantra. Therefore, it is appropriate to strive on this supreme path. Furthermore, one should know the difference between Sutra and Tantra, the difference between the new and old Secret Mantras within Tantra, and the ways of becoming a Buddha with and without meditation. The wise one who knows the distinctions is the adornment of the teachings and beings. However, those who are foolish meditators devoid of learning and reflection, and those who are mere talkers who do not contemplate meditation in their minds, those who desire liberation through transference of consciousness are ridiculous. Why? Because they lack faith and commitment. I have studied hearing, thinking, and meditation to the best of my ability, relied on a lama who possesses twenty qualities, and my mind of benefiting the teachings and beings is as white as the moon. Therefore, I have written this instruction. May the stream of virtue not fall into the paths of samsara, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, but meet with the supreme path of the Great Vehicle, and become one taste in the ocean of primordial omniscience. Thus, this Dharma called "Swift Path to Liberation through Transference of Consciousness for the Deceased" was written by the Great Perfection yogi Jigme Trinley Ozer at the repeated request of his disciple Dharma Kirti.

Since it is based on the Phowa of the Teacher Sun, Moon, and Buddha, and supplemented with other instructions, may the virtue of this work, done by the scribe, who is his own disciple Gonpo Samdrub, cause all beings to be born in the Sukhavati Pure Land. Good! Good! Good! May auspicious glory shine and become an ornament of the world!
