Training the mind through eloquent poetry. Training the mind through eloquent poetry. Here ends the training of the mind through eloquent poetry. Namo Guru Manjughoshaya. I prostrate to the Buddhas and their sons. May all sentient beings in all realms be happy! May the poetry of the Bodhisattvas, adorned with sound, May the teachings of the Buddha, be a feast of Dharma. May all the assemblies that flow like tides, With a strong motivation based on unwavering faith, With the wisdom of vast intellect as a tool, Purify all the sins and obscurations from actions. If sins and obscurations are not quickly purified, Our respective actions will become powerful and uncontrollable, Even knowing what is happiness, we cannot choose it; Even knowing what is suffering, we cannot escape it. Most people are tormented by karma. The noble Shravakas, and those who are hunched over, etc., Even the Shravaka disciples of the Buddha, are said to be tormented by the truth of karmic consequences. Is this karma created by countless joys and sorrows? Do the Buddhas of the three times know all this? Have countless sentient beings experienced all this? Is it connected to oneself without being anywhere? Therefore, thinking that karmic consequences are infallible, Now is the time to choose between good and bad actions. From today onwards, refrain from evil; From tonight onwards, strive to do good. Good and bad actions depend on good and bad thoughts. If the thought is good, then the land and the path are also good; If the thought is base, then the land and the path are also base. Everything depends on pure thoughts, Therefore, holding evil thoughts of comparison and competition, And engaging in partiality, hatred, and factionalism, Are they not the root of one's own suffering? Those who repeatedly contemplate and possess wisdom, Those who deceive people into straying with non-Dharmic fronts, Those who are small-minded with intense desires and fickle minds, When their sweet talk seduces you, suffering arises. Look at the example of Devadatta indulging in attachment and aversion. Therefore, generate the good Bodhicitta! If the mind is virtuous, then the leisure and endowment are meaningful; If the mind is not virtuous, then the leisure and endowment are meaningless. May all friends generate a virtuous mind! The words and meanings of the scriptures that naturally flow from a virtuous mind, First, sever exaggerations and diminutions through hearing and contemplation, Then hear and contemplate later.

Cutting off the additions, it is meaningful to go to a secluded place and meditate. Thereafter, generate the mind of benefiting others alone, regarding all sentient beings as fathers and mothers. Remembering the kindness of them having been fathers and mothers many times, do whatever you can to benefit all. Knowing what has been done and repaying kindness is good for oneself and others in this life and the next. A person who repays good with evil is said to be even lower than an animal. For the beings of the degenerate age, have the loving mind of cherishing like a mother to her child. Teach the sacred Dharma to all sentient beings, and follow in the footsteps of the teacher, the Buddha. This mind of benefiting others with faith is good, with this goodness, help others with joy. When thinking of benefiting, it is appropriate to show it when needed, and it is beneficial to the mind when needed by showing it reasonably. Train the good mind and gradually diminish the harmful mind. Meditate on Samadhi and the two obscurations will naturally be purified. Generate compassion and virtue will naturally increase. Rely on the antidote and the afflictions will naturally dissolve on their own. Even an enemy can be a friend, and a benefactor can be an enemy. Who do you have hatred for, and who do you direct your hatred towards? If you think about it, everyone is a relative and a parent. In short, abandon sinful thoughts and cultivate virtuous thoughts. Do not harbor harmful thoughts in your mind, but cherish beneficial thoughts. Think about the meaning of what you have heard, and tame your mind through meditation. Abandon meaningless worldly things and rely on meaningful things. If you cannot abandon the world no matter what, then it is a matter of considering what is Dharma and what is not Dharma. There is a way to transform busyness and chaos into Dharma. By giving yourself heartfelt advice, the result of white is white, and the result of black is black. The result of benefit is happiness, and the result of harm is suffering. Associate with spiritual friends as if they were relatives and parents. If you slightly benefit others, you benefit yourself. If you slightly harm others, you harm yourself. This harmful mind of burning the happiness of others is a vessel for accumulating sins and defilements. Abandon accumulating meaningless sins and defilements from afar. Generate devotion to all those who practice the Dharma. Meditate on loving-kindness towards all sentient beings. May all that is seen be happy, receive the prayer. Thereafter, think that happiness pervades everything. Analyze and contemplate the Dharma that generates joy and happiness. Compose the spectacle of writing into words. May this Dharma deeply abide in the minds of the faithful.
