All aspects of mantra characteristics, as a means for one person to attain Buddhahood, accomplished by a reliable support, this is the main meaning of the excellent liberation. For those endowed with good fortune, the tale of increasing wondrous and marvelous merits is as follows: This great bodhisattva with excellent courage, in the past, was repeatedly the virtuous friend of the Great Vehicle by the venerable Manjushri. He also obtained the courage to speak unhindered on the points of inner and outer reasoning, and also attained mastery over the five superknowledges. In the presence of the Tathagata Wangbo'i Tok (Crowned by Power), the venerable one and many attendants went together. At that time, the Tathagata Wangbo'i Tok said: 'Without regard for body and life, spreading the mantras that are separate from pure views in impure realms, will quickly attain perfect enlightenment,' and so on, praising him greatly. At that time, this great bodhisattva stood in the center of the assembly and made the aspiration: 'May I be able to spread the mantras connected with pure views in impure realms, without regard for body and life.' Immediately, the Tathagata Wangbo'i Tok and the attendant bodhisattvas also made aspirations. By the power of that Tathagata, the victorious ones of the ten directions also thought with their wisdom and acted as before. All the Tathagatas said in one voice: 'This is excellent courage.' At that time, this great bodhisattva with excellent courage, in the northeast direction beyond countless Buddha-fields, was wondrous and marvelous.

In the field called "Adorned with Various Arrangements," it was prophesied that he would attain enlightenment as the Tathagata named "Lion's Roar." From then on, he extensively propagated mantras in impure realms, and through various arrangements, he performed countless deeds of benefiting beings. Moreover, in limitless realms, even a single connection would cause it to greatly expand. The current level of realization is that, according to the Characteristics Vehicle (referring to the Sutra or Mind-Only schools), it can be said that the enjoyment of the pure land, etc., has begun. I asked, "What is the measure of that Tathagata's body and the constant rays of light?" He replied, "The constant body is one yojana in height. The body color is blue-green. The right hand is in the teaching mudra, and the left hand is in the meditation mudra, holding a begging bowl filled with nectar. In the center, which is more excellent than the color of nectar, there is a four-sided stupa, with an 'ཨེ་（藏文，梵文天城體：ए，梵文羅馬擬音：e，漢語字面意思：e）' in the center that is one cubit high. Various rays of light radiate everywhere. The nectar and the color are of the same kind. In that Tathagata's pure land, the beings with the highest faculties, upon seeing the stupa, will spontaneously realize the mantra related to pure view in their own mindstream, and manifest nectar. For beings with intermediate and lower faculties, the mantra related to pure view will be taught through speech, which is a sign. The retinue are all enlightened through the means related to pure view." I asked, "Then, what accumulations of merit are needed to be born in such a pure land?" He replied, "Without seeking gain and honor, abandoning unworthy vessels, possessing wisdom, diligence, and faith, those with the highest faculties should practice as explained in the stages of the secret mantra path, and also teach it to others, and they will be born in that pure land. Those with intermediate and lower faculties, regarding the understanding of the generation stage and the completion stage, as long as they do not fall into the two extremes, generate understanding with reverence. For the indispensable aspects of vows and commitments, they should practice with respectful conduct, and they will be born in that pure land."
