The Sadhana of the Great Vairocana The Sadhana of the Great Vairocana The Sadhana of the Great Vairocana is present. Emaho! The sacred Dharma that protects from the fears of samsara, The perfectly enlightened Buddha, the source of wisdom and liberation, The essence of all three, the very nature of the Three Roots, I take refuge in the body, speech, and mind of the Lama. (Recite) three times. The realm of sentient beings is like the extent of space, Therefore, the Bodhicitta without an object of focus. Diligent practice by applying aspiration and entry to the ultimate mind, I vow to liberate limitless beings. (Recite) three times. Ah! The suchness of the self-arisen lamp of wisdom, The pure great expanse of the lamp of the all-illuminating net, In the sphere of the empty lamp of bindus, free from separation and attainment, The nature of reality, the manifest, vast ocean of all-illuminating light. Experiences Increase, the face of Vairocana, The wisdom body of the all-knowing, perfected awareness, Dwelling in great equanimity, beyond Dharma and mind. From the beginning, the Vajra posture is perfectly enlightened. Adorned with the three robes of the complete vehicle, And the beautiful pandita hat of the perfected Great Perfection. To the right and left, Ma Ban Rinchen and Nyak Lotsawa the Great, The discriminating wisdom that reveals the Dharma is inexhaustible. In the crown, throat, and heart of the main deity and retinue, The arrangement of the mind, speech, and body of all Sugatas, Marked by the essence of the three syllables, From the three complete seats, light radiates from the body, From the great bliss of the nature of Dharmadhatu, The wisdom deity, Vajra Assembly)! Hūṃ! From the heart of the vast ocean of all-illuminating light, I request the translator Vairocana to come! From the supreme sacred place of Janglochen, I request Ma Ban Rinchen, the supreme light, to come! From the sharp tuft of hair of the wisdom sword, I request Nyakchen Yeshe Zhonnu to come! Without mixing the minds of the three with my own mind, Steadfastly remain and be offered clouds of offerings like the ocean. I offer body and possessions without attachment. I praise by remembering the qualities of the three secrets. With your knowledge and faith, I pray from the heart, Grant the siddhi of the union of mind and heart. Om Ah Guru Vairocana Ratna Jñana Hūṃ Svāhā. Recite like a flowing river, and the conclusion of the session is the same as the common practice. Dedicate the merit to perfect enlightenment. Written at the request of the young Khyungpo, by Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa.

So it is. Well done! The Lama Yoga based on Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa is as follows: Emaho! My body, aggregates, elements, and sense bases, The three seats are completely self-arisen in nature, In the center of the heart, the realm where the lotus of faith blooms, The essence of sperm and blood is purified, above the sun and moon, The face of the assembly of all Buddhas, Rigdzin Jigme Ling, The perfect face that possesses all virtues is, Wearing white clothes, with a blue topknot on the head, At the top of the topknot, is the essence of six million scriptures, With a red and white luster, a peaceful and smiling body, Is the breath of the travelers exhausted on the path of samsara, In order to constantly contemplate the meaning of the non-dual truth, Has the mudra of the sitting posture of resting the mind, Manifestation is without inherent existence, clarified by the path, Is the single path of all Sugatas, I prostrate with unwavering devotion, I offer the mudra of offering with unwavering mindfulness, In the realm of emptiness, I confess the obscurations of knowable objects, I rejoice in the absence of non-abiding in equality, I urge the turning of the wheel of Dharma that illuminates the wisdom of insight, I pray to abide in the state of cutting through the ground and path in one, I dedicate the collection of merits to the youthful vase body of the Dharmadhatu. Alas! Alas! Precious Lama! All my efforts, Are disturbed by hope, fear, distraction, noise, And the eight worldly concerns and afflictions, Born at the end of the five degenerations, Influenced by children and bad friends, In this time of being overwhelmed, Please bless the arising of renunciation in my mindstream. Moreover, after being controlled by peace and happiness, May I not stray into the path of the Lesser Vehicle, May all the ocean of Bodhisattva conduct, Be for the benefit of sentient beings. The Lama is the embodiment of the assembly of Buddhas, From now on, may I be free from doubt and wrong views, May all the qualities of the path of learning, Be perfected in this very life. Although I strive, it is difficult to be liberated, Liberation is only through the compassion of the Lama, Because only devotion is the cause and effect, May the mind of the Guru and my mind become one. Om Ah Hum Guru Abhaya Dipa Siddhi Hum Reciting this mantra, With devotion and supplication, arouse the mindstream of the Lama, From the three places, white Om, red Ah, blue Hum, Each emits light and dissolves into my three places, Purifying the obscurations of body, speech, and mind, as well as knowable objects, Having obtained the four empowerments, the mind and heart become one with the Guru, The four bodies are spontaneously accomplished.
