Here, to reveal the war offering of Ma Gon, the sister and brother protectors of the Great Perfection Heart Drop, the secret treasury of the Dakinis of the five dimensions of space, a treasure of mind, to subdue the forces of demons, the practical manual, the red instructions, it is necessary that a Vajra Master who has completed the approach to the antidote, the powerful deity, and in particular has received the empowerment of Ma Gon, the sister and brother, and is endowed with samaya, should undertake this with a strong aspiration to benefit the teachings and beings. This has two parts: the accumulation of offering substances and torma, and the method of arranging the practical manual. The first is: the outer and inner offering tormas and the conducive substances of the Dharma protectors are complete and pleasing, both general and specific, the accumulation of the torma. In general, the material for the torma is: the best is precious jewels, the middle is silk brocade, and the lowest is based on ordinary ropes of varying lengths. That is, the torma that is the complete and supreme support of all the Mamos, or the main torma, is a turquoise-colored rainbow-striped khyung nest. Below that, between the upper and lower parts of the umbrella, is a palace of auspicious emblems. Below that, the top of the iron castle is adorned with feathers of eagles and silk banners. The life-tree of the torma is an arrow tied to the neck of a vulture, wrapped with silk threads, and inscribed with the life-essence (Tibetan: སྲོག་སྙིང་) in vermilion or gold. Eight white ones are adorned with eagle feathers. The eight planets are adorned with black speckled feathers.
