The complete purification of the three is the supreme Dharma that realizes the indivisibility of the two truths. Practice without attachment to that state, and cultivate familiarity without clinging, which is rejoicing in the ultimate truth. The sixth branch is: The four pure extremes are without defilement, and the perfect Bodhicitta arises. This can be interpreted in two ways: If it is in accordance with the conventional Bodhicitta, then through the four pure abodes of Brahma, such as the four immeasurables in the mindstream of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, one generates the perfect Bodhicitta. If it is in terms of the ultimate Bodhicitta, then the four extremes of existence, non-existence, permanence, and annihilation are completely pure, which is the stainless state of the definitive Great Madhyamaka. In this state, one regards all conditioned phenomena of the path truth as the perfect Great Bodhi and generates the Bodhicitta without objectification. The seventh branch is: To the Sugatas, the powerful beings, and sentient beings, I offer my body for three purposes. Among them, this offering of the body is the supreme, excellent, and vast virtue spoken of in the two collections of the Great Vehicle. It is the necessity of offering this aggregate of self-grasping bound by the grossness of the five elements, and combining selflessness with the Buddha-field of the Victorious Ones. The ultimate necessity is: The meaning of the first line, the Sugatas are the Buddhas of the past, the powerful ones are the present Buddhas and Lamas, and sentient beings are the future Buddhas. After identifying these three as the field of accumulation of merit with the nature of the Tathagatagarbha, it is the meaning of the second line. Offering to the Buddhas of the past is the necessity of manifesting the inexhaustible qualities of the body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities of those Buddhas, the qualities of the wheel of adornment. Offering to the present Buddhas is the necessity of becoming a vessel for the nectar of wisdom of all the Tathagatas, and obtaining the result through empowerment and blessings. Offering to the future Buddhas is the necessity of fulfilling the meaning of obtaining the result of the Great Vehicle, and completing the interdependence of accomplishing the benefit of others, that is, possessing these three necessities. Therefore, it is said in the Vajra Sequence: The ten directions and their children, the powerful Buddhas, the present self, the future nature, sentient beings, I offer my body for three purposes, and become a vessel for supreme virtue. Thus it is. Most of the ancients only understood the words, but did not understand the true meaning.

Nonsense! To the Sugata, the powerful sentient being, I offer the body of the three purities. I and limitless sentient beings, abiding in the three times, offer our bodies. Although the tantric words spoken in this way are very firm, they are merely groundless speculations. The eighth branch is: All the actions accumulated over lifetimes, I gather and dedicate to the great Bodhi. Regarding this, the beginning of the overall cycle of samsara, one cannot say that it starts from here. But in terms of oneself, from the nature of coemergent ignorance that has the same essence, to the nature of coemergent ignorance that arises simultaneously, and then to the nature of subsequent ignorance that is imputed to objects, from the beginning of establishing samsara until now, the mental actions that have been counted, and all the virtuous actions that increase based on the actions of body and speech, all of these are gathered here by the wisdom of skillful means, and dedicated as the cause for all sentient beings to attain perfect Bodhi. This is its meaning. This was also written in an instant by the Dzogchenpa Jigme Lingpa at the glorious Lotus Light Island (Baiyu County), at the request of the fortunate Dokham student Jigme Trinley Ozer. Finished! Finished! The Eight Branches Commentary on the Kama Tradition from the Vajrakila Tradition, Clarifying the Meaning of the Tantra.
