Talk Series Chapter Thirty-Four: The Tale of the Bow-Head Treasure Box, the Song and Dance of the Dakinis. Talk Series Chapter Thirty-Four: The Tale of the Bow-Head Treasure Box, the Song and Dance of the Dakinis. This is called the Tale of the Bow-Head Treasure Box, the Song and Dance of the Dakinis. The self-nature is completely pure, the realm of Dharma; united with the seven branches, perfectly endowed with enjoyment; manifesting the twelve deeds, the supreme emanation. From that, there are birth, creation, self-arising, boats, bridges, and stone-made emanations. In this Jambudvipa, the twenty-four lands and thirty-two great places where Dakinis are certain to gather, various forms of snow mountains, rocks, lakes, islands, and trees, the stone-made forms rely on wisdom. Blessed by the Second Buddha, Padmasambhava, and in the presence of the chief Dakini, Yeshe Tsogyal, the essential instruction, the Heart Drop of the Dakinis, is spoken. The assembly hall of the Dakinis in the Bow-Head Treasure Box, outwardly, is a rock mountain in the shape of a vajra supporting the sky, with a silver-white luster, self-arising and inconceivable. Inwardly, it is complete with the arrangement of the twenty-four great lands, and the gathering of heroes and Dakinis never ceases. Although it is not an object for the fleshy eye, within the vast mansion of the completely constructed rock mountain, is the pure, vast, other-powered, immeasurable palace, adorned with the mudras of the perfected heroes and Dakinis. Their vajra song and dance arises as such from the play of pure self-appearance. Emaho! The mind of a person and the rock of the treasure box are similar as long as they are self-existent. With faith, make prostrations and circumambulations; fulfill the commitments with tsok and fire offerings; if you pray, blessings will arise; if you receive the four empowerments, realization will be born; if you practice, you will attain accomplishment. The mothers and field protectors have definite places; in the charnel ground, offer corpses as tsok. Vultures are emanations of Dakinis; the charnel ground bird, the Kangkang, also comes as the lord of the tsok. By the blessings and miraculous powers of Padmasambhava, the vajra pierces the hearts of the hordes of demons, and in the hot springs of various emanations, if you do a bathing tsok, sins and obscurations will be purified, and the diseases of the four aggregations will be cleansed. All of that is the deceptive truth of the relative. Now listen as I explain the ultimate truth. Outwardly, the earth, stones, mountains, and rocks, rivers, forests, places, and regions, the six classes of beings, enemies and friends, when looked at as objects,

All appearances are the aggregates of name and form. Likewise, the ear hears sounds, the nose smells odors, the tongue tastes flavors, the body feels touch, and so on. The two, sense consciousness and object, combine, and from the causes of contact, arise pleasure, pain, attachment, aversion, and neutrality. This aggregate of feeling, may meditators understand. Upon this, examining, analyzing, contemplating, and generating thoughts of abandoning, adopting, negating, and affirming, it is known as the aggregate of perception. Upon this, virtuous and non-virtuous, karmic paths and habitual tendencies accumulate, and it is known as the aggregate of formation. The master of all of these is, consciousness itself, the wisdom that transcends consciousness, this samadhi, the separation from the five aggregates, is the view, may you understand. In that very state, the six consciousnesses', self-luminous radiance is unceasing, free from conceptualization, it is the cause of the eye and clairvoyance, correct mindfulness is, the arising of complete purification, is the noble path, is meditation, may you understand.
