When Trisong Detsen examined the ancestral writings, his past karma awakened him, and he gained great faith in the Dharma. However, Ma Zhang Khrom-pa Kye said that the ancestors had short lives because they practiced the Dharma. The existence of future lives is false. Practicing the Dharma leads to misfortune, so he threw the Jo Shakya statue of Lhasa into the wilderness and created many obstacles. The Heshang monk believed in the truth of past and future lives and the Dharma. In addition, the Tsenpo (Trisong Detsen) recited the Sutra of the Ten Virtuous Actions, thereby understanding the purity of conduct; recited the Diamond Sutra, thereby understanding the purity of view; and believed that reciting the Salu Ljangpa Sutra would bring pure results. Spa Sal-nang was his friend. The Dharma minister Khri-bzang devised ways to deceive and bribe the diviners. The minister 'Gos, who was his friend, buried Ma Zhang alive in Stod-lung. Spa Sal-nang was sent as a messenger to invite Khenpo Zhi-ba-'tsho. The Kashmiri Ananta acted as a translator and explained the causal vehicle, which angered the demons. Shambo flooded the Phang-thang palace with water. Thang-lha struck Marpo Ri with hail. Severe human diseases and crop failures occurred, and people said that it was because the Tsenpo practiced the Dharma and that the evil acharyas should be expelled. All the Tibetans rebelled and could not practice the Dharma. The Khenpo said: The fierce yakshas of Tibet have not been brought under the Buddha's oath, so they hate the Dharma. Now there is a great bhikshu in Jambudvipa named Padmasambhava, and he should be invited. So the Khenpo pretended to be expelled and left. Sal-nang, who was appointed as the eye of the Dharma, went to southern Nepal again and invited the second Buddha (Padmasambhava). On the way, he subdued the fierce demons. He reversed the left and right sides of Mount Palbar in Mang-yul. At the end of Stod-lung, he erected a golden staff on the desolate plain and dug a great river. The Tsenpo wanted to perform the rituals of the master (Padmasambhava), but the master said that he could not perform the rituals of a renunciant, so he observed Pha-wang and hid it in the middle of the mountain. To purify this obstacle, he built five stone stupas in Zung-mkhar phrang. Shambo brought a flood upon the master, but the master stopped the flood with a vajra. Observing again, the glaciers melted and the black mountain collapsed, so Shambo was frightened and promised to obey the orders. Similarly, all the gods and demons of Tibet gained some magical power

The land was leveled, making it possible for the sacred Dharma to flourish. With inconceivable compassion and miraculous powers, wishing to benefit the Tibetan people, he took wealth from Zambhala God of Wealth) and eliminated poverty. He transformed barren land into Nyetang. He turned gravelly land into fields. Saying that he would bury a river larger than this one underground in India, he was about to bury the river underground, but the treacherous agricultural minister interfered, saying that the fields of Yarlung were enough, etc., reversing cause and effect, and it did not succeed. After that, the Khenpo and Khenpo's disciples gathered, and after the island of Aryapala was completed, when the Tsenpo (king) was thirteen years old, he modeled the Utantapuri Monastery and laid the foundation for the main temple, the three types of continents, the four continents, and the subcontinents. The land was brought from the cliffs of Yarlung, and the stones were brought from Haspo Ri by wooden carts. The wood used was fir. The great teacher placed the gods and demons under oath and put them to work, and it is said that the gods and demons built more at night than the people built during the day. Later, during the restoration, footprints of non-humans, a cubit long, were found, etc., which was undoubtedly confirmed. After the temple was completed, on the Manla road of the Tsenpo, a man named Kangpo said that this land was blessed by the goddess Drolma. As the prophecy said, on the top of Haspo Ri, there is a Shakyamuni Buddha, the main deity and thirteen attendants, blessed by the Bhagavan. The next day, Minister Khampa, wearing armor, went to see it, and from the sand dunes, he found a naturally formed stone statue, without traces of artificial carving, the Jowo Jangchub Chenpo (Great Bodhi) with bright eyes. After being invited by wooden cart, when he arrived at the east gate of the monastery, there was an earthquake. When he arrived at the clean room, the shaking became even more intense. When he was invited to the throne, the diviner said: Compared to the Tsenpo's temple, the Buddha statue is too small. So the incarnate craftsman covered it with reeds and silk. Using clay mixed with gold and other various jewels, he made it according to the Tibetan craftsmanship, shaping a Buddha statue that would not feel discordant when seen, completing the marks and characteristics of the manifest Tathagata. Moreover, the construction method conforms to the Vinaya, the painting style conforms to the Sutra, and the gathering of deities conforms to the Tantra, so it is called the monastery of the three traditions that does not change and is naturally accomplished. The craftsmanship also incorporates different styles from India, China, and Li (Khotan).
