Like the wheel of an earth-wood horse, Likewise, the six realms and four modes of birth, From the time when the self-nature of illusion appears as non-existent, Upon the primordial emptiness that has never existed, The six minds of discernment arise, and the six aggregates appear. The bondage of grasping at conceptual thoughts as self, Is extremely powerful, the realm of mind itself, the sky, This absence of inherent existence is also tightly bound, Like a whirling firebrand clinging to the existence of self. Some see light, some see darkness, Some see nectar, some see water and fire, All sorts of completely contradictory concepts, There is no certainty that they follow karmic imprints. Even so, the object of appearance is not the mind. Like the reflection of a face entering a mirror, Yet it is merely a condition of interdependent origination, The face and the mirror have never mingled. Appearing as non-existent, the deluded mind grasping at it, Like seeing a variegated rope and mistaking it for a snake, The initial consciousness is the object to be grasped, Afterward, the thought and discernment that engage are the grasper. If it is said that the appearance as a snake is the object to be grasped, Then the grasper is said to be the consciousness of self, Even beings who do not distinguish between appearance and the object of appearance, Exist or do not exist together with the appearance itself. In any place, ignorance, the grasper and the grasped, are sudden conditions, The self of existence, between me and mine, If the root of delusion, which is non-existent, is severed, The All-Creating King dissolves into his own nature. From "The Treasury of Qualities, the Rain of Joy," The chapter showing the way of abiding of the Ground, the eleventh chapter is completed. Eleventh chapter.
