What need to mention the reward of Ngari? One does not abandon the Three Jewels even for life. Having taken refuge in the Lama as its essence, Abandon deceiving the holy ones and spreading bad names. Likewise, having taken refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, Gradually, one's own self Does not prostrate to the gods who wander in samsara. Does not harm others, does not associate with non-Buddhists. With faith, one serves the objects of the Three Jewels, Abandoning forgetfulness day and night, one goes for refuge. The discipline of the result is the Dharma body of the capable one, Having awakened in the realm of abandonment and attainment, Not grasping at the protector and the protected, beyond words, Therefore, giving up is also a superior designation. The boundary of the cause is the characteristic of taking refuge, Giving up arises from generating wrong views towards the object of going. If the discipline is impaired, one falls into inferiority, Therefore, like protecting a wound, One must diligently guard it. Those who seek opportunities with the malice of a jackal of karma, In the evil vessel of doubt, confusing words and meanings, The sign of writing down the certainty of non-deception, If one relies on ghosts, one will decline in this very life. Here, the earth, the sky, Mount Meru, etc., Whether they are or are not, places change, the sun and moon may fall. The deception of the Three Jewels is impossible, A firm certainty is always meaningful. Even in dreams, seeing the Three Jewels, etc., With mindfulness, remembering, all qualities increase, Remembering past lives, it is easy to pass through the bardo, Becoming a support and friend to all beings. From the "Treasury of Qualities, Joyful Rain," the chapter on going for refuge, the sixth chapter is complete. Sixth chapter.
