P'od. Whatever lacks an agent is not self-existent. Intentions stained by black and white colors make actions and their results powerful. If lacking both preparation and follow-up, power diminishes. If the root is medicine, then the sprout is also medicine. If the root is poison, what need is there to mention the sprout? From the driving force of good and non-good thoughts, the images of virtue and vice follow in size. Thus, there is no antidote to permanence and manifest attachment. Actions arising from a foundation endowed with primary qualities. The five aspects of virtue and vice, heavy and light, are said to be the consciousness that closely grasps. The basis of all is the alaya-consciousness, unspecified. From that arise the mind and the consciousness of the five objects. The great demon of ignorance, pervading all, seizes the three poisons, causing high and low in samsara. Just as fire burns and incinerates, if there is no antidote other than water, then there is no finding an equal to the great sin of deceiving and abandoning the Three Jewels. From that, in the conceptualizations that go elsewhere, naturally related, from mind and mental factors, although all wisdom is not exhausted, body, speech, and mind have a support and a supported. In the ten aspects of causes and effects to be abandoned, the three of the body are killing, stealing, and sexual misconduct. First, killing is, with undistracted awareness, intentionally taking the life of another. Harm is done through beating and other means. Stealing is knowingly taking the wealth of others without permission. Taking through deception and fraud. Sexual misconduct is giving touch in exchange for payment. It is engaging in sexual acts that should not be done. The four of speech are lying, causing others to be confused. Deceiving others by confusing their perceptions. Slander separates those who are in harmony or neutral. Harsh speech is repeating the faults of others, creating hatred. Idle talk is generating attachment and aversion from meaningless words. It is talk unrelated to war and thieves. Rough speech pierces the hearts of others. It is causing and giving rise to the discomfort of others. The three of mind, first is covetousness, coveting the wealth and glory of others and claiming it as one's own. Craving and enjoying the possessions of others. Harmful intent is harboring resentment towards others, inciting harm. Cultivating the severance of connections with beneficial things. Wrong view is believing that there is no cause and effect, or believing in permanence and annihilation.
