The Complete Works of Master Tujue Zunzhu JKTT13, The Teaching of the Six-Branched Yoga Transmitted from Glorious Shavari. The Teaching of the Six-Branched Yoga Transmitted from Glorious Shavari. The Teaching of the Six-Branched Yoga Transmitted from Glorious Shavari. ༄༅། །Namaḥ Gurubhyaḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: नमः गुरुभ्यः, Romanized Sanskrit: namaḥ gurubhyaḥ, Literal meaning: Homage to the Gurus)! Homage to the glorious and holy Lamas and the glorious Kalachakra! The essence of all kings of the Anuttarayoga Tantras, the great secret of the lords of yoga, or the entrance to skillful means, the single path traversed by all Victorious Ones Vajradharas of the three times, the ultimate of all paths: This Six-Branched Yoga has two general points: the general meaning of the instructions, and the meaning of the text. First, there are two points: to show the unbroken lineage of accomplished ones into whom the stream of blessings has entered, and to show how to receive the instructions of such a lineage of accomplished ones. Its first point is: The Bhagavan Great Vajradhara, spoke directly to the Lord of Yoga, Glorious Shavaripa. Lama Vibhutichandra heard it: When the Lama himself was residing in Thangbehari in Nepal, a yogi came from India, with antelope horns inserted in his ears, his lower body wrapped in antelope skin, carrying a piece of cloth as a loincloth, in the prime of his youth, saying he would stay here for a few days. So he was placed in a room to study sounds, and the sound students said: 'This yogi is a wonderful person.' So the Lama invited him over and discussed Dharma with him, and whatever was asked, he answered fluently, so he knew that he was Glorious Shavaripa, and asked if it was so, and he said yes. So a feast was held, a mandala was offered, and he requested: 'Please grant me the essence of all the tantras, the single supreme path of all paths.' So he fully granted the instructions of the Six-Branched Yoga, and then said: 'Now I am leaving.' Asked: 'Where are you going?' He replied: 'I am going to Kashmir in the west, where there are disciples with karma to be tamed, and then I will go to Glorious Mountain.' Having said this, he left. It is said that he stayed in Thangbehari for twenty-two days. Lama Vibhutichandra was from Nalanda in the east of India, and also from Jagaddala, ordained from a monastic community offered by many kings, generally skilled in the five sciences, and especially skilled in secret mantra, initially seeing the faces of many deities of commitment such as Manjushri and Chakrasamvara, and receiving prophecies. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pa. Having received instructions from many accomplished masters such as Richö Wangchuk (Lord of Solitude), he possessed immeasurable qualities. Lama Pelton Dönyö Sangpo (Lama Pelton Excellent Meaningful) acted as the requester and bestowed the teachings upon seven individuals including Lopa Tsulshön (Southern Disciplined Youth), Martön Yangbar (Martön Blazing Light), and Chöku Özer (Dharmakaya Rays of Light). Lama Martön requested teachings from Yogi Senge Bum (Lion Million). Miyö Dorje (Immovable Vajra) requested teachings from both Senge Bum (Lion Million) and Chöku Özer (Dharmakaya Rays of Light), and they were bestowed. Second, regarding practicing the instructions, there are three common points: the characteristics of the individual who practices; the characteristics of the place where one practices; and the explanation of how to practice. The first is: not being attached to the network of conceptual thoughts of the generation stage, and having diligence with the desire to attain supreme accomplishment in this very life; possessing the three vows; and possessing the three faiths of manifest devotion to the lama and Vajradhara. As it is said in the tantra: 'A person who possesses faith, certainty, and teachings, if they practice the six methods of accomplishment, that person will surely attain bliss.' The second is the place: common and uncommon. The first is common: without interference from yakshas, flesh-eating demons, wrathful deities, and humans and non-humans; with conducive conditions complete; with provisions easily obtained; praised as a place for practicing secret mantra, such as charnel grounds. The second is uncommon: places for night and day. First is night: like the naturally dark room of darkness at Samye Chimpu (Samye Chimpu, meaning 'Samye's Hermitage') of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) or the cave of Padmasambhava at Dorje Drak (Vajra Cliff), or like the practice room of Acharya Nagarjuna at Vajrasana (which Pal Shavari Wangchuk saw and spoke), having three caves in sequence, or in short, a place without even a needle-hole through which light can appear. Day: in secluded places such as the top of a mountain, choosing a place where one's actions are not seen by others. Third, regarding the manner of practice, there are also three aspects: preliminaries, main practice, and conclusion. The preliminaries are: the key to engaging with diligence, not being carried away by laziness and distraction; the key to generating renunciation from samsara, contemplating death and impermanence, and the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment; the key to completing the accumulation of merit; the key to quickly receiving blessings—offering a mandala and supplicating with the three doors in reverence; and the key to transforming whatever one does into the path of liberation—ensuring that whatever one does is embraced by bodhicitta; and the key to not being obstructed by obstacles and quickly generating wisdom—visualizing the yidam. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
