The Vajra Kilaya, the Four-Letter Wrathful Mantra of Yama, for Protection, Repulsion, and Destruction. The Vajra Kilaya, the Four-Letter Wrathful Mantra of Yama, for Protection, Repulsion, and Destruction. The Vajra Kilaya, the Four-Letter Wrathful Mantra of Yama, for Protection, Repulsion, and Destruction. Homage to Vajrabhairava. There are two aspects to the protection and repulsion-destruction mantra through the gate of glorious Vajrabhairava. First, the protection: In the early morning, as soon as you wake up, before speaking to anyone, face east. After taking refuge and generating bodhicitta as usual, recite: OM SVABHAVA SHUDDHA SARVA DHARMA SVABHAVA SHUDDHO 'HAM. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱསྭ་བྷ་ཝ་ཤུ་དྡྷོ་ཉ་ཧཾ།,Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वभाव शुद्ध सर्व धर्माः स्वभाव शुद्धो हं,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddha sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho haṃ,Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, purity of nature, all dharmas, purity of nature, I.) From emptiness, in the center of a blazing fire mandala, on a lotus and sun seat, by uttering "HUM" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ,Literal Chinese Meaning: HUM), you instantly transform into Vajrabhairava, fierce, protective, and blazing. His body is black, clothed in darkness, as fierce as the fire of the eon, with one face and two arms. The right hand holds a blazing iron sword, and the left hand makes the wrathful threatening gesture. From the tent of iron-burned hair, the firelight of weapons radiates intensely. He stands with legs outstretched in the middle of blazing wisdom fire. His body is like Mount Meru, with a fierce and terrifying appearance. At his heart, in the center of various vajras, is E (Tibetan: ཨེ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ए,Sanskrit Romanization: e,Literal Chinese Meaning: E). Inside its hollow is a five-colored bindu. Inside that is a combined sun and moon disc. Inside that is the essence of your own consciousness, a blue HUM (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं,Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ,Literal Chinese Meaning: HUM). Inside the HUM bindu are the lama and yidam. In the belly are the dakinis and dharma protectors. To the right and left are the father and mother. In front are the retinue. Behind are all the objects to be protected, such as wealth and land, appearing as if vividly present. All the sorcery gods and protectors, along with their power and abilities, are gathered and dissolve into the wheel of weapons outside the tent of hair. As the wheel spins fiercely to the right, all adverse conditions and obstacles are unable to approach, and your body, speech, and mind become endowed with the power of vajra. Recite and contemplate this, then say: E SA BHO SUNG. (Tibetan: ཨེ་ས་བྷོ་སྲུང་།) After reciting this one hundred and eight times, apply a bindu of saliva to each of your three places (forehead, throat, heart). Second, the mantra for combining repulsion and destruction: When the sun is setting, about an arrow's distance from the horizon, face west. Take refuge and generate bodhicitta, and then recite the Svabhava mantra, etc. From emptiness, in the center of a blazing fire mandala, on a lotus and sun seat.

Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) on the seat. Instantly, transform oneself into the Black Vajrabhairava, the repeller, blazing. With a black body color, wearing clothes of darkness, as fierce as the fire at the end of an eon, with one face and two arms. The thumb of the left hand holds a sharp golden axe, blazing with flames; the index finger holds a silver stake, wide and vast; the hair of burnt iron forms a tent. And so on. As said during the protection, all those to be protected abide vividly. Recite the content of the protection in this way. In front of oneself, from the syllable "E" (Tibetan: ཨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऐ, Sanskrit Romanization: ai, Literal Chinese meaning: Ai) arises a triangular source of Dharma, dark blue and blazing, vast and wide. Within it, the Lord of Death, Yama, the Lord of Karma, with a terrifying appearance, mouth wide open, a belly containing the cities of the three realms, and a wheel of weapons, blazing fiercely with the fire of karma. Recite and visualize this. Then, from one's heart, emanate countless wrathful messengers holding iron hooks and ropes. With the iron hooks, seize the hearts of all enemies; with the ropes, bind their throats; with iron shackles, bind their limbs; threaten them with various weapons, forcibly dragging them without freedom, and place them upon the silver stake. With the golden axe, chop their heads and bodies into pieces, and offer them into the mouth of Yama, accompanied by the sound of Dharma. Visualize the fire and wind of karma blazing from the belly, turning them to ashes. Then, cast the mala outwards, and in one breath, recite "E Sa Bho Bzlog" (Tibetan: ཨེ་ས་བྷོ་བཟློག, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऐ सा भो ब्ज़्लोग, Sanskrit Romanization: ai sā bho bzlog, Literal Chinese meaning: Ai Sa Bho Turn back) sixty-four times, etc., reciting fiercely. Afterwards, join the palms, and relying on the great truth and power of the Guru and the Three Jewels, and the assembly of the Bhagavan Glorious Vajrabhairava, Lord of Death, Yama, Lord of Karma, may the bodies of the enemies, demons, and obstructors, along with their retinues, who hate us, the teachers, disciples, patrons, and retinue, who possess malicious minds, who possess violent minds, who have evil intentions, and who commit harsh actions, be bound. May their speech be bound. May their minds be bound. May their power be destroyed. May their strength be destroyed. May their magical abilities be destroyed. By the mantra they recite, may they themselves be destroyed. By the gods and demons they propitiate, may they devour their own flesh. Recite this, clap the hands, spit outwards, and make the sound "Ting."
