From the syllable Hūṃ, rays emanate, and one thinks of completely cutting off all enemies and obstacles, which is to liberate others through compassion. Wrathful deities and wrathful mothers gather back and dissolve into light, merging into the subduing of pride and fierce mantras. Then, gradually dissolving into the deities of the five places, the five poisons are completely cut off. Transforming into the nature of the five wisdoms, they dissolve into the heart of the vidyādhara guru, and all appearances of deities and mantras of oneself and others are liberated into the expanse of clear emptiness, free from conceptualization. Maintaining this state is to liberate oneself through awareness. Having visualized in this way, one recites the syllable Hūṃ fiercely and briefly. When concluding the session, by uttering Hūṃ Hūṃ, the deities of the body dissolve into light in their respective places. One contemplates that the basic deities also dissolve into the realm of clear light, like clouds clearing in the sky. Without conceptualization, spontaneously accomplishing without thought, one remains in equipoise in a state like the sky, as it is. When engaging in activities between sessions, again from that state, like a fish leaping from water, one instantly transforms into the form of glorious Heruka, visualizing that the three places are marked with Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:啊), and Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Through this merit, may I quickly attain the glorious Heruka. And so forth, one performs dedication, aspiration, and auspicious wishes as appropriate. This is because beginners mainly recite the generation stage, so the former method is adopted; for those who are accustomed to the clear appearance of the generation stage and wish to learn the completion stage, the latter method is practiced. This was spontaneously expressed from the marvelous Mahā lotsāwa Dharmaśrī's treatise, the "Precious Lamp of Practice Instructions," and was written by Khyentse Wangpo, a servant who pleases the Lotus-Born Guru, through reading and accomplishing it. May it be auspicious! Second, the practice of the Hūṃ bell based on the body mandala.
