Without regression. I respectfully prostrate to the boundless wisdom. Bhagavan Samantabhadra is the chief of the sons, I respectfully prostrate to the ocean-like conduct. Bhagavan Yamantaka holding the vajra in his hand, I respectfully prostrate to the chief of the brave and diligent. Bhagavan Manjushri, the supreme lord of glory, I respectfully prostrate to the chief of the virtuous friends. Bhagavan, the oppressor of the intense force of obscurations, difficult to endure, I respectfully prostrate to the supreme prince. Bhagavan Ksitigarbha is the supreme source of the earth's essence, I respectfully prostrate to the most stable of dharanis. To the Buddhas and their retinues, who pervade like the sky, I and all beings equal to the sky, manifesting this body as equal to the dust of the fields, constantly prostrate with respectful mind. Anointing the ground with scented water and scattering flowers, this Mount Meru, four continents, adorned with the sun and moon, by offering this visualized as a Buddha-field, may all beings enjoy the pure land. Offering all the clouds of offerings, actually arranged, mantra power, vidya-mantra, and emanated by the power of faith, I confess all sins and downfalls. Rejoicing in virtue, urging and supplicating, may the merit represented by this be dedicated to great Bodhi. Thus offering the seven branches. If you wish to recite the hundred names of the eight close sons of Shakyamuni, and any other praises, and wish to take the Bodhisattva vows, then recite: Until reaching the essence of Bodhi, I take refuge in the Buddhas, and also take refuge in the Dharma and the Bodhisattva assembly. Recite three times for taking refuge. Just as the Sugatas of the past generated the mind of Bodhi, and in the training of the Bodhisattvas, they abide in that order, so likewise, for the benefit of beings, I will generate the mind of Bodhi, and likewise, in the training, I will train in order. Recite three times to take the Bodhisattva vows. Today my life has meaning, I have well obtained the state of human existence, today I am born into the Buddha family, today I have become a son of the Buddha. Thus, cultivate self-joy. Today, in front of all the protectors, I invite beings to share happiness until Buddhahood, may gods and non-gods, etc., all rejoice. Thus, begin to cultivate the joy of others. The mind of Bodhi is a jewel, may those not yet born arise, already

May wisdom never decline, and may it increase more and more! Thus I pray. Please, Bhagavan, great assembly, consider! By the power of hearing, remembering, praising, and worshipping the supreme names of the Great Sage and his close sons, may all unfavorable circumstances, temporary and ultimate, be pacified for myself and all sentient beings, and may happiness, dharma, and wealth greatly increase. May we be cared for by the excellent Mahayana spiritual friends, and may we be blessed to be nourished by the nectar of their speech. May we possess pure morality, and be endowed with hearing, contemplation, and meditation. May we generate both renunciation and bodhicitta, and never stray from the practice of benefiting others. May we be blessed to attain the state of perfect enlightenment. May the stainless teachings of the Victorious One spread and flourish in the ten directions. May the lotus feet of the supreme holders of the teachings remain firm for hundreds of kalpas. May the world be filled with great goodness, and may auspiciousness prevail, accomplishing both aims spontaneously! Thus I pray, and conclude with auspicious words. Relying on the practice of focusing the mind on the symbolic form of the name and form of the Lord of Sages and his retinue, the voice of Brahma, and the wisdom that knows suchness and all that exists, and praying with remembrance of qualities, nectar and rays of light arise from the places of body, speech, and mind. They enter the bodies and minds of myself and all sentient beings, purifying diseases, evil influences, sins, obscurations, and habitual tendencies. May the qualities of life, merit, wealth, learning, and realization increase. Thinking that we are blessed by the inconceivable secrets of body, speech, and mind, we remain in equipoise in the manner of focusing on suchness. This was composed by Khyentse Wangpo, following the words of the Dharma King Trisong Detsen, an emanation of Manjushri. May it be virtuous and auspicious! A concise method of offering homage to the eight close sons of the Sage, the essence of benefit and happiness.
