By dissolving into the crown of your head, you instantly visualize yourself as the Bhagavan Protector Amitayus, with a body the color of a coral mountain, etc., abiding in the vajra posture. Place the longevity vase on the crown of the head, and recite the heart mantra and the long mantra. If interested, recite the verses from this empowerment ritual composed by Panchen himself: Auspicious longevity glorious food, This essence of condensed heart, Today the disciple shall eat. By eating this, Amitayus, If one relies on the food of the venerable, One will be liberated from all diseases, There is no need to doubt. From the heart of the master, etc., to the auspiciousness of the day, etc., doing as usual is the first time. From the second time onwards, pray again and repeat this. I beseech the protector Amitayus to grant me all the accomplishments of immortal life. After praying in this way, from the seed syllable in the heart of Amitayus residing on the crown of the head, and from the HUM (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: HUM) of the master's heart, inconceivable rays of light like iron hooks and messengers emanate in ten directions. Gather all of your declining life, lost life, destroyed life, and life taken away by ghosts and demons, and enter into the vase in the hands of the protector Amitayus on the crown of your head. Also, that ray of light pervades all the realms of the four elements, therefore, the mighty golden foundation, the central Mount Sumeru, the seven golden mountains, etc., all the essence and nourishment of the earth element, and the mandala of water below, the outer great ocean, the seven playful seas, etc., all the essence and nourishment of the water element, and the mandala of fire below, the horse-faced fire, the sun, the light of the jewel lamp, etc., all the essence and nourishment of the fire element, and the mandala of wind below, the dispersing and gathering winds, etc., all the essence and nourishment of the wind element are gathered and enter into the vase in the hands. Also, that ray of light pervades the boundless world and the countless pure lands. Therefore, gather all the life, merit, power, etc. of the sentient beings residing in those places, and all the non-dual wisdom in the hearts of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, and enter into the vase in the hands. All of this becomes the nectar of immortal life, boiling and overflowing, coming out of the mouth of the vase. Enter through the Brahma aperture on the crown of your head, filling the entire inside of your body. All diseases, demons, sins, obscurations, and the fear of untimely death, together with their imprints, are purified. All declining life and merit are restored. The essence of the four elements matures into strength, becoming the nourishment of the body and the support of the mind, becoming the immortal life and wisdom of the mundane and supramundane.
