A Discourse on the Differentiation of Philosophical Tenets: Earrings of Definitive Meaning. A Discourse on the Differentiation of Philosophical Tenets: Earrings of Definitive Meaning. This is the treatise called "A Discourse on the Differentiation of Philosophical Tenets: Earrings of Definitive Meaning." The face of the three doors of the unconditioned nature of reality, the self-liberated essence. Having prostrated to the vajra guru of the mind, I will briefly differentiate the questions and answers. The powerful one who speaks of non-duality, in order to establish the disciples of the three types of beings in their own enlightenment, taught the immeasurable vehicles of cause and effect. All sentient beings who do not realize this, temporarily clinging to the side of desire, are those who disturb the teachings and transform the liberation of the great god into dharma. Here, from the Sravaka Vaibhashika to the supreme secret Vajra Essence, the very nature of the one reality is truly taught as a means of realization. Why are all the tirthikas who rejoice in speaking of permanence and annihilation in agreement that there is a self-nature of a person who is permanent, one, and independent? Those who speak of their own school say that the aggregates themselves are one and different, and since they are not seen as other than that, they establish the absence as the basis. The Vaibhashikas assert that the apprehended object is a subtle particle, and that the apprehending consciousness is an indivisible moment, and therefore they do not abandon even the gross aspect of the self of phenomena, desiring to establish it as truly existent. The Sutrantikas assert that all external objects are appearances of the mind, but since they desire the external object itself as the cause, they abandon the gross self of the apprehended object. Since the aspect of form and the aspect of consciousness are not established by the Mind-Only school, although they ascertain the absence of true existence of the apprehended and the apprehender, they assert that the perfectly established non-duality is truly existent. The Svatantrikas, with the five great reasonings, also establish that it is without true existence, and they establish the ultimate as without self-nature and the conventional as it appears. The Prasangikas, having abandoned all the proliferations of affirmation and denial, have the distinction of refuting the internal contradictions of the assertions of others with reason. Since that and the Great Perfection are of one taste in the state beyond the inconceivable nature of reality, look at it with a very still mind. The stainless purity of Mind-Only and the speakers of Other-Emptiness are not the same, because the former asserts the alaya-vijnana and the latter asserts the wisdom ultimate truth. The Lamdrepas, etc., are the appearance of the mind, and even that appearance of the mind is illusory. When establishing the absence of self-nature, it is divided into two: dependent arising and inexpressible.

However, the mistaken notion that appearance is only mind, and that it is the same as asserting that things are real, is a fault of not examining with careful discernment. Why is it that even in the Vajra Tent Tantra, it says: "Apart from the precious mind, there is no Buddha or person, no place or meaning of consciousness, and not even a little external thing." Also, in the Sambhuti Tantra, it says: "The nature of outer and inner, all these are regarded as mind. Apart from mind, it does not exist elsewhere." The reason for saying this is also established by the protector Nagarjuna himself with reason: "The external object is one, but different consciousnesses enter into it. What is a pleasing form, appears differently to others. The same woman's body, ascetics, those with desire, and dogs, respectively think of it as: impure, desirable, food, and thus become three different thoughts." In particular, although the way of appearance being only mind is the same as the Yogachara school, it is because they do not accept that mind is truly established, but rather establish it as free from elaboration. Furthermore, in the Great Perfection of Clear Light, the Self-Arisen Great Tantra, etc., from the eternalist and nihilist heretics, to the supreme secret Vajra Essence, just as the stages of views are clearly distinguished. The Root Tantra of Hevajra says: "In it, the Vaibhashikas are taught, and so are the Sautrantikas. After that, the Yogachara, and after that, the Madhyamaka is taught." As it is clearly stated. The Lord of Yoga, Virupa, said: "In order for beings to enter gradually, the essence of the explained intention is: in the aggregates, elements, and sources, because it is taught, it is the same as the two Hearer schools, and superior to the heretics. The consciousness of objectless and object-possessing, and the non-duality different from that, because it is said that there is no self-nature, it is also superior to the Mind-Only. Although conventional appearances are like illusions, if one vows that the ultimate is this, because it does not accept self-nature as emptiness, it is also superior to the Madhyamaka. Therefore, from the beginning, even though it transcends the four extremes of conceptual elaboration, practicing in the way of union is the ultimate of the view of this path. Moreover, this is not just words, but when it arises from the wisdom of individually realizing the ultimate, it becomes the Great Perfection."
