Here, the vines of various actions are planted without end, all bearing the burden of suffering; When tormented by the labor of hundreds of fruits, the name of that Holy Mother; By holding it, one is saved from the ocean of fears that have arisen, will arise, and will come to be; Who with intelligence would not hold these words of praise to her alone? Where the joyful gardens of gods, sages, accomplished ones, and assemblies of vidyadharas are; The lands of Manem, Dea, and Pareratta, adorned with the rock patterns of Bezla; The clear, playful lake, with the network of white lotuses Connected in between; The flocks of birds of power, with various colors, proclaim pleasing and melodious sounds there; The precious trees, magnificent to behold, with the resting places where the swaying branches provide shelter; Like a colt leaning, what is distinguished by the arrangement of immeasurable great mansions? Like a play of illusory dance, with the splendor of the swaying doors; In the center, surpassing the gardens of the gods, which obtain hundreds of samadhis; More beautiful than the lips of a lovely youth, the petals of the white lotus; The smiling garland, using the ocean of water as a rope, is disparaged by the direction of daylight; One, with a garland of rays of light, manifestly welcomes, and when one strives to lift it in remembrance of its own kindness; Your feet, like a landing platform formed of the tender flesh of compassion, become as one; Opened by the halo holding camphor, the swaying garland of smiling water lilies, and; Born from the canopy of youthful clouds, the Kailāśa (कैलास, Kailāśa, Mount Kailash) piled with particles of snow; It is not possible to symbolize your supremely beautiful body, the youthfulness of the point of dust; Endowed with the qualities of marks and signs, embraced by the deer king, I prostrate to the one who dispels all ignorance and unknowing. On the right hand, the vine of the tender branch, the supreme gift-bestowing cool fan, upon that; The sentient beings wandering endlessly in the desolate wilderness of grasping and fixation; Dispelling the darkness of the suffering of various desires, I prostrate to that blazing splendor. You are in the realms of the world, the essence of the Three Jewels gathered into one; The compassion of all the Buddhas of the three times, appearing as an image of oneself; Therefore, by praying to you, all the purposes of this life and the next are accomplished; By this aspiration, grant all beings the fortune to enjoy the ocean of happiness. Thus, this manner of praise is the meaning spoken of in many sutras and tantras; Summarized into a garland of words, this is the cause of arising goodness; By this, may the life, merit, wealth, and power of all beings increase, and; May the fears of disease, famine, strife, and war be pacified, and may auspiciousness arise. Thus, this Praise to the Wish-Fulfilling Wheel of the White Tara—the Immortal White Cloud's Smiling Play—was composed by the monk Lodrö Gyatso, who had the good fortune to have the nectar-like words repeatedly poured forth from the faces of the glorious Sakya lineage's great throne-holders of the past and present.
