All of them constantly revered and respected the Three Jewels, and always gave alms to the poor, so their fame spread throughout Jambudvipa, and they lived in happiness. Then, in one of those times, the king of the Turukas, named the heretic Shankara, became jealous and waged war many times in Varanasi, but King Norbu Trengwa never became angry. Once, the Turukas waged war and destroyed many Buddhist temples, and took away many panditas. A great minister named Hero Dorje said: King Norbu Trengwa is a great hero! The evil enemy king, the heretic Shankara, is about to destroy the Buddha's teachings. Please rise up now from the war and be victorious! Goddess, then the Dharma King said: Hero Dorje, well said, minister well said! If the Buddha's teachings are destroyed, all sentient beings will be helpless and unprotected, and will always wander in samsara. Now I will defeat that evil enemy! Then, from the east gate of that city, drums were beaten, conches were blown, and banners were raised. The Dharma King also rode the excellent horse named Raven Flight, and set out with all the people in the four divisions of the army. Goddess, in the same way, Hero Dorje led the army forward and, when they arrived at the city of the Turukas, a rain of mandara flowers fell from the sky. The earth also shook six times. Goddess, at that time, the army that emanated from the body of the Dharma King was like this: From the forehead emanated a thousand armies riding elephants.
